We were a bit worried because our cab driver said Yogyakarta is a little dangerous but we had no issues (except for art boy)

There is a cabaret show at the Raminten resto at night. It's amazing show. There are a lot of art museums too in Jogja. Jogja is city of art. You should definitely try to watch the cabaret show when u guys came back again. Also, try Gudeg..it's iconic Jogja's culinary. Anyway i am happy you guys enjoyed it!

Thanks for the recommendation, @Ruipupu! I recently visited Jogja and shared my experience on my channel. I missed the cabaret show at Raminten Resto, but it sounds amazing. I did get to try Gudeg - it was delicious! Any other must-try dishes or places for my next visit?

@@InvestedAdventure i'll recommend my hometown. Singkawang, West Borneo. If you able to travel there next year, visit Singkawang around 10-12th February 2025. You gonna experience Cap Go Meh festival, it'll be mind blowing. Remember to book hotel far ahead before the festival tho, or you not gonna be able to find one XD PS: try google Cap Go Meh festival Singkawang, and see what is it about.

Ice quality outside Jakarta is mostly safe to drink... people make them at home or buy them in a licensed ice factory (the ice shape looks like a tube with a hole).

Fun Fact the woman statue at the House of Raminten is actually a man dressing like a woman for "Ketoprak" Javanese Opera Show purpose, his name is Hamzah Sulaiman. Originally it was the house of opera player who sell "jamu" (Indonesian herbal drinks) while dressing like a woman, now days when you walk around Yogyakarta sometimes you can find some Raminten like walking around especially in Malioboro, you can pay them to take a picture with you.

In Japan it’s safe to eat raw eggs but I wouldn’t do it elsewhere. Stay safe and cook the egg when uncertain.

It's great to see you both exploring other parts of Indonesia not just Bali! Jogja is specifically known as special region in Indonesia for a reason and judging from the video, it seems your stay in there was kinda rushed as the are plenty experience of foods and other places being slept on. So its a shame you guys didn't experience the true beauty of it but I understand. Anyways I'm really amazed the fact that my childhood youtuber visited my city I grew up in! Nope! Buddhist monks may not accept money. So the money you put into the stupa, might taken by the officials there. But putting money into the stupa is not a good practice, because when someone retrieves it, over time it will erode the corners of the stupa's stone.

Borobudur is not really a Buddhist temple, it’s Hindu, it’s one of the eighth wonders of the world because it’s incredibly ancient and we barely know anything about it. Also, it might’ve been a quiet day when I went, but I didn’t need a guide or a complicated process of getting in, I just bought a ticket online and was able to enter.

It can be both Jogja and Yogya but i think the orginal ones is Yogya since it's sounds similar to Ayutthaya in Thailand and Ayodya in India. All have same meaning "peaceful city"
