From what I've seen over hundreds of videos, they don't do anything safely. Like pouring molten metal next to their bare feet in open slides and sandals. Stuffing plastic bags into a screw fed conveyor with their bare hands all the way in. And then there's the really dangerous stuff. Like welding with sunglasses on, that don't do squat. It's mind blowing.

As a British national who worked for the best Engineering company in the UK, when asked to go to their US subsidiary they had OSHA but believe you me a lot of their practices were dangerous and would not be allowed in the the UK! Be careful on believing that because you meet a standard it is safe 😮

I don't think they even check to see if the wood really needs hard planing. I think they're just going through the motions by running it over the power planer. They do it with every single thing that is made of wood. They don't even do all sides and they definitely don't do them properly. It's just something they saw other people doing and followed them. There is no squaring of any edge and no dressed edges at all really. It's a bit like watching a teenager at school making something. They copy the steps but don't really understand why they're doing it. Or that's how it appears.

@@laredoshane Anyone could do what they do. Someone showed them what to do, and they just repeat exactly what they were shown. Exactly. He didn't inspect the wood to see if it needed to be planed. And he didn't look after he planed it. He didn't plane or look at the other sides. There's no dressing of the wood anywhere. These aren't tradesmen, they're just workers. And that's fine. With what they get paid I wouldn't do more than the bare essentials either.
