Thoughts on real pianos...
One piano craftsman had a completely different job from the world of pianos. Twenty years have passed since I first encountered this unfamiliar job... At first, I wanted to acquire skills that would be useful for someone else, so I continued to do what I was taught, and if I could further refine what I could do, I challenged myself daily in the deep work of the piano, and became able to repair various types of pianos.
One day, with the passage of time and the evolution of electronic pianos, I realized that the wonderful real pianos were being forgotten and even the techniques were disappearing.
When I touched a real piano for the first time, the vibrations, depth, and tone of the sound...
I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but somehow I was moved.
Furthermore, even now I can actually see, touch, and repair pianos that were manufactured in Japan that were as good as any in the world because of the competition in technology and the focus on sound.
Piano makers that have been sorely missed are still in existence as used pianos, and just like violins that are considered masterpieces, there are still pianos made in Japan (made in Japan) that are considered masterpieces.
However, there are many people who give up their pianos due to environment or circumstances without knowing that they can be maintained or repaired, and this is truly a sad state of affairs.
It is unknown how many pianos we can reproduce and leave to future generations in this severe economic environment with our current technology, but we would like to preserve authentic and wonderful pianos.
We hope to take pianos from the good old days and give them a new form that fits the current times so that they can be used for generations to come...
