The chestplate stuck out, it wasn't cohesive, majot gaps visivle from all angles, very limited articulation. These are neat to watch, but other than transforming, they don't do anything. Yeah it's cool to see it work, but as a toy, these don't really do anything besides transform. Something the actual toys do, and they can pull off better alt modes and robot modes with more playability, more articulation, and just look better in general. I don't understand how people are thinking these are better than the actual figures put out by Hasbro. Having everything be automated takes away almost all playability for the toy.

Shane Branagan dude its time for a change for years we have been doing it manually don't you think there's some of us that like to have the alternative automatic transforming motion just like the cartoon cause hell I have never seen a hand doing away with the transformation in the cartoons, now we have the technology to have these toys do it and if you want to keep doing it the oldskool way then you have that option too I'm an old bastard and I have always wondered what the Transformers would be like if it were made to automatic transform and here is the answer in this video, oh and I bet Hasbro could of done this a while back but hey why spend on servos when you can just keep costs down right totally understandable but hey at least once in a while fabricate one like these as a collectable with all the glory markings and craftsmanship that Hasbro has to offer and I guarantee you hardcore's will be buying it in a heartbeat even at high prices, that said we wouldn't have to resort to knockoffs and I tell ya these knockoffs are getting better and better every time, hope you understand my point of view as I clearly understood yours GOOD DAY SIR 🤖

The Noid I guess I didn't look at it like that. I guess it's the side of me thinking of the 1step changers and all that. Where the gimic takes over the toy, but this one here makes it work. In a way. I don't mind the 1 step changers you know? Those are targeted towards the younger audiance, and not the colectors or older fans. I guess I can see the apeal of an automated transformer. If they could find a way to add in some articulation, trust me I woukd buy it in a heartbeat and slap that thing on the self like a trophy. Again, I can see the appeal of this kind of figure, and it would be cool to watch it transform on its own. I'm the kinda guy who transformes deluxe class figures back and forth when lookibg for something to do, so I guess I would be slightly "worried?" that automorph woukd take over the toylines. Even now it's getting difficult to find titans return figures like top spin, because 1 step changers from the movie toyd and RID are the majority of the shelf space. Either way, I probably will look further into these kinds of figures and if possible, find one online to pick one up for myself and mess around with it a bit.

You know, I have noticed that average action figure quality reached it's prime back in the 2000s all the way into super early 2010s, after 2012, they've been steadily dropping in quality, less articulation, less detail, less accessories, less gimmicks, less everything in general. I mean, they use to sell awesomely detailed, fully transformable transformers figures that could easily be mistaken for a collectors item. Now they are usually one or two pieces of plastic that just flip a few things to make them look semi humanoid. I feel bad for youngsters today.
