Oberaigner made this conversation which includes 4x4, low gears, rear and center differentials and a suspension lift. We have then installed a heavy duty winch, a custom spare wheel carrier, custom roof rack, a diesel ship tune kit, BFG AT tires and solars. The interior is still pretty basic but there are two beds, running water, enough of battery supply and a "kitchen".

Great footage and a great truck! What kind of sprinter was it? 413cdi? With low range box or without? Would like to know if you've managed without low range (i'm guessing it's not a problem for the sprinter, even without the low range)

To be honest the interior is currently very basic. It has everything you need to survive a few weeks or more, but without the finish. Will hopefully get the time to make a proper interior conversion - and have it posted.

Hi! Yes it's legal. There are signs with some restrictions in terms of weight and measurements but non that applied to us. In some places the locals have had bad experiences with offoraders visiting, so just keep in mind to be a good offroad ambassador!

Can I drive this alpine road with a Mercedes Sprinter 4x2? From when to when can you get across the mountain passages? How did you fancy the flight sequences? Kann ich diese Alpenstraße auch mit einem Mercedes Sprinter 4x2 befahren? Von wann bis wann kommt man über die Gebirgspässe dort? Wie habt ihr die Flugsequenzen gefimt?

4x2 is not recommended. There were smaller Fiats going 4x2 in a couple of places but for the much heavier Sprinter the 4x4 and difflocks were nice to have going both up and down the gravel roads that have more rocks than you can see in the footage. Spring - autumn is probably the best time for a visit, but as you can see we had snow i September...
