Pom Poms actually have a much earlier history. They were placed on the top of armour helmets when men in armour rode horses into battle, so the horse behind would focus on the bobbing Pom Pom on top of the helmet and not on the enemy or the arrows flying.

Actually the thirteen stars above the eagle's head represent the thirteen original colonies not the olive branch or arrows. The olive branch represents peace, while the arrows represent battle. The reason why the eagle is facing the olive branch but still holding the arrows is that it represents that we want peace but still are prepared to fight.

Regarding the buttons, I remember reading that men's jackets also buttoned left over right so their man servants could dress them, but due to gentlemen wanting easy access to their swords, they changed to right over left for their right hand to slide easily under the jacket to get to the sword on the left. And it just caught on.

About number 5, button up: Actually the story is that most men are right handed, and because of that their sword was placed on the left side of the belt. The shirt that the men wear needed to have the left side over the right side in order for the sword to slide easily out, and not to get stuck in the shirt. People got used to this method of dressing, and because the rich women had someone else to dress them, their buttons were placed the other way around, so it will be easy for another person to dress them.

The top of the pyramid is actually a lot older than Christianity. It used to be the symbol for Re'/Ra. There used to be the letter R in the eye picture & the Egyptians used to have their eyeliner in that pattern. & the eye symbolized the all seeing, omnipresent person of the sungod, their main God, bringing enlightenment to his worshippers.

#18, as a tech (mechanic) working at a dealership, your car may be compatible with some customization such as window open/close, illuminated entry, etc. Usually it's free to have it customized. Just ask the service advisor to have the tech enable these feature and teach you how to use it 👍 #9 those "tire bumps" are the wear indicator. It's usually 2/32, when it reached the tire's end of life on tread. For your safety and others, have it replaced. Also, usually when your tire is about 6 years old, they start to dry rot. Separation of rubber is occurring. The date of production can be found by the last 4 digit of the DOT stamped on the tire (i.e. "DOT U2LL LMLR4219" = "4219" = "42" --> 42nd week of "19" -> year, 2019). If there's no last 4 digit on the tire, check the other side of it, the sidewall facing inside

About tires: when I was struggling financially, I would try to get every last mile out of my tires. I learned to get real good at determining how long I could go before noticing wear & the steel belts showing. One time I went too long, went over some rail road tracks & got a blow out. Turns out, the tire was wearing more on the inside!

@G_Cs
@G_Cs 4 жыл бұрын
@@thatpurplecrayon8055 >"I am literally mad at myself because I can't find it " Don't be mad at yourself; it isn't your fault. You couldn't find it because what ActiveCatapult is implying is on the BACK is actually on the FRONT, however, it is the consensus that it is not an owl, nor a spider as some folks have thought. To see for yourself, on the FRONT of the dollar bill, look at the 1 in the upper right-hand corner. The number is outlined by a wide blank line that is straight at the top except for a slight section that points up in the center. The top line ends at the left and right at an inward curve. Look closely at the one on the left. In the cusp of that curve is a small shape where the background lines come together. That tiny shape appears to some people as if it has an owl's head due to the "tufts" that several species of owls have. Others have claimed that it looks like a spider. With the naked eye, it is impossible to see it clearly. If you have a "jewelers loup" that has a high magnification, you can see it much better, or, you can do a Google search for "owl on dollar bill" and there will be several results with magnified images included for some.

when my brother and I where kids we went to Las Vegas and while traveling on one of those escalators with "shoe brushes" we did what we thought those things where for and we pressed our shoes against it to brush them: Then I heard my brother grunt while he was trying to pull his foot off the brush, his shoe got stuck and the end of the ladder was coming, when he could not pull it off at the end his shoe broke something off the ladder mechanism and saved his toes judging by the torn off leather exposing the black steel toe casket from his caterpillar shoe. I was praying to God in thanks for my brother outrageous choice in shoes that had saved him from being mutilated back then. We never used the ladder brushes again.

@@LFPS0311 idk what the comment stated as the person you responded to removed it but: whilst ANY pandemic, tragedy, etc. is sad, the planet is UNIQUE in that it is designed to CONTROL out of control populations of EVERYTHING on it. Whether or not it seems callous to look at this pandemic as such this is exactly what is happening. We're a species too many in number; whilst we pride ourselves on being 'Top Of the Chain' we haven't gotten the memo to stop breeding like rabbits. In the last 100 years we've more than DOUBLED the population. Logic dictates that if we can't use that reason and intellect (combined with myriad technological/medical, etc., advances) we so heavily pride ourselves for, to get it under control? You better believe 'Mother Earth' is going to. The pandemic is a 'cleansing'; it doesn't Care about our empathy, our 'feelings' and it doesn't matter what we do: people are going to succumb to it. WE did this. Humans. Do we ACTIVELY Care much less notice the many species WE EXTINCT EACH DAY much less drive out of their ecosystem? Most people are oblivious to this fact! In the 50's we had HALF of the people we do TODAY. HALF. In LESS than a century we've added over 3 BILLION humans to a more bursting planet. If people want to delusionally keep believing a mask is going to help, great! Good for them. If that was the case we all would've been BORN with a flap of flesh on our face. (Honestly? It's our F-ING HANDS that spread the s$it, smh🙄. It's what we TOUCH. Medical GLOVES would actually work BETTER, but I digress...) No one is guaranteed any set time on this Earth; there will always be disease (comically, deadly STD's STILL don't warrant the attention this crap is getting so we're doomed anyhow- it's like 'Idiocracy' IRL-people really are dimwitted!) Natural disasters and bad people hurting others (SIMPLE MATH: MORE PEOPLE = MORE BAD PEOPLE). I'll be 44 in a few short months; I'm sick. I have a brain tumor and myriad other aliments (though I don't look it) but also have daughters and GRANDkids and even I'm capable of logic understanding; attacking others BC they state facts about a 'scary' situation doesn't change those facts.

The eye of Ra wasn't put inside a triangle though, it was just a drawing of an eye with eyeliner decoration. Christians took the concept of the "all-seeing eye of God" & put an eye into a triangle to represent the Holy Trinity, just like he said. So yes, it IS a Christian symbol used by many in the old days. Where the Masons part comes in is the pyramid below it (representing educated planners & builders since ancient times being an important function of building a society), as many of the founders of the US were members of the Masons, a Christian-based fraternity. But you see that the eye-triangle floats above the pyramid instead of being attached like a real pyramid capstone would be. That's because Christianity also teaches that we humans are fallible & to not let our ego become so great that we think we can be so great/educated that we can literally build our way up to God/heaven, as in the story of the tower of Babel.

Cups' conical shape also has another function: removability from the mold. Whether it's a paper or plastic cup, it needs a mold/mandrel, and the shape gives the cup body positive draft, meaning it can be removed from the mold/mandrel easily without breaking the mold, or much difficulty.

Or the waffle ice cream cone. A vendor was hawking his new confectionary treat, ice cream, at the World's Fair around 1900; and, ran out of bowls. A nearby vendor was selling waffles, about the size of Eggo waffles; so, he bought like 100 of them, rolled them & put a scoop of ice cream on top. Wa-la! People loved the new 'ice cream cone.' Or, the potato chip. When steamship voyages were new, only the wealthy could afford; and, it was considered impolite to eat with ones hands. One ship's diner sent his potatoes back to the kitchen, claiming they were undercooked. Out of spite, the chef decided to cook them so crispy he'd have no choice but to eat them with his hands. People loved them & started requesting them!
