@ravenwolf89314 жыл бұрын
It works to stop your glasses from fogging up, if you form the wire to your nose and then move your glasses slightly forward so the glasses are resting on the wire instead of your nose. That little bit of extra space keeps the glasses from fogging up and the wire stops the glasses from sliding further down your nose.

Their reason for the fast blinker isn’t correct. The bulbs are all in parallel, so they are getting the exact same voltage. That’s the voltage at the battery/alternator. The reason why it blinks faster is due to the change in resistance that happens when one of the parallel runs of the circuit is missing. When one of the parallel paths of two resistors is broken, that means the total resistance doubles from what it was before. Traditionally, blinker modules were made with a heating bi-metallic strip and a contact. When the blinker is turned on, initially the bulb lights up through the strip that is meeting a contact inside the blinker module to complete the circuit. The strip heats up and warps enough that it breaks the electrical contact until it can cool again and make contact, by which the bulb lights up and the process repeats. The change in the load on the other side of the bulb changes the speed at which this action happens. Also, these blinkers aren’t a constant interval. It will change dependent on the ambient temperature. Not a whole lot, but enough to notice your blinker and the neighboring car going in and out of sync over time. Modern cars don’t have these blinker modules anymore as the computer does it all, but the computer can also detect this change in resistance and activate the fast blink, as well as send you a message about which particular bulb is out.

I happened upon the permanent marker trick years ago when one of my students tried to prank me by writing on a whiteboard with his "permanent" marker. Being a Science teacher, it was not exactly so hard to figure out that if you turn the "permanent" ink a bit more "wet" on the board you can wipe it off easily. I just coated what they wrote with normal WB marker ink and wiped off and it went away just like that! It was a nice "got ya!" moment and we ALL learned something new that day (I had the suspicion on the spot and verified it, the kids thought "permanent" was so and saw that it wasn't!).

7:00 so this explains all those times as a kid I or my friends would have a weird 'ghost mic' thing happening where we could only hear the keyboard clacking, but not speaking, and also did not have a mic, just headphones. It was the gd thing vibrating every time they typed and plugged into the wrong hole. Much less spooky now! Much more like we were dumb and not sure where to plug our earbuds.

I am not sure about using the triangle flaps as box holders but originally they were used to create a spout for pouring out the content of the box by using scissors to cut the tips off and you can pour the juice out. some manufacturers still provide a line you can use to guide your scissors or to tear the tips off

Maybe the iron in the mask is meant so it will comfortable to wear the mask, but it certainly does not prevent steam from covering your glasses 😒

Apparently shaving cream is supposed to prevent glass fogging. You squirt some on the lenses, rub it evenly across it, then wipe it 'til it clears and you should be fog free for a while.

When I was a little kid, we thought that when you opened the little handles on the juice box were a little game and if you got something special, like the same pattern you would win a free trip to the juice box factory. I don’t even know how that got started and whether it is true or not.
