Yes, same. I thought that the mosfet would get destroyed by the inductors when the interrupter goes low

I assume that pulling down each gate with cheeper fet can save IRFP260 but it can be more bothersome task.

That is a very simple schematic, please go and learn more about components and how they work and the schematic will be much easier to understand mate, you can't expect people to give up their time remake videos just because you haven't learned enough to read a schematic yet..

What happens if you feed it a mp3 instead of midi?

If you feed it mp3 nothing would happen because the output of the optocoupler would constantly be high / 1 and that results in a constant arc. If you feed it mp3 through a cap onto the gate then you will get a constant plasma that will be modulated with your audio so AM modulation.

Hey I don't really know how I can make it easier. I explained it as easy as possible and the schematic is also very basic. The only way to make it even easier would be a step by step soldering tutorial but I'm not doing that on my channel.
