**Amazing spool up** Airbus A350 XWB take-off in Paris CDG for the first time

Honestly I wasn't expecting this sound at all!! On February 26th the A350XWB came for the first time in Paris CDG, I saw it arriving at the parking (link of the video below) and then we went spotting along the runway, and it took off there, to Munich airport. We were really lucky for the sound as no car or truck passed at this moment!! We were less lucky for the weather because it was extremely windy and rainy... That's why this is not my best video, but I'm still happy with the result :) Anyways I let you watch this amazing airplane taking off for the very first time in paris CDG!!

When I watched this, I don’t know why but that sound sounded scary. Am I the only one that thought that engine sounded terrifying like something bad is about to happen? Lol 😂

@@MajProblem09 It sounds intense :) You should look up why that 'buzzing' sound happens (I think that's the part you mean.. It sounds almost scary.. But very normal!) In brief.. That happens when the fan blade tips exceeded the speed of sound, and essentially create their own mini 'sonic boom'. Each tip also has tiny variances in its construction, so that produces a range of different shock wave sounds, that give it that distinct chainsaw buzzing effect. I hope this briefly explains it :)

I'm from Costa Rica and Iberia lands every day at 3:15pm and they leave at 5:05pm (they are suppossed to leave at 5:05pm but they always take off at 5:15/5:30... This is my favorite aircraft by far and its sound is so beautiful, but I gotta be honest those GE-90 on the b777 are way more powerful. There is a daily flight either from british airways or airfrance and those engines scream way louder

+CDG Spotter They say Concorde may fly again in 4 years... (2019) British Airways and I think AirFrance is raising money for the plane to make it safer and fly again... I really hope to see that beauty fly again. My favorite plane... Never flew it sadly. I'm only 12 but my dad said if it does he will buy us tickets on it... :)

Ive probably commented on this video several times, but this is the greatest sound ever made by any plane. I play this thru my speakers!! What fascinates me more is that NO OTHER A350 comes close to sounding as good as this does in any other video....and there a lot of good videos. All A350s sound amazing, but this one screams hard. Im wondering if there was something different about this test plane that accounts for this sound. I know that heavy fog or clouds can make sound travel differently, but there are a few other crappy weather videos that can't touch this. I wish i had the answer to this. Oh well...time to listen again.....

Bit late but there’s is a departure from a Lufthansa A380 taking off in the (almost if not the exact) same conditions as in this video (search for Lufthansa A380 Shanghai take-off). I think it’s roughly the same sound as this one. The absolute best roar I’ve ever heard… incredible

CDG Spotter, thank you for this superb video! I believe we are all "happy with the result"! :) I discovered this gem only yesterday and I'm quite taken with the sound quality. No doubt the weather played a role, as air temperature and humidity affect the speed of sound, but I believe your position relative to the airplane and your recording equipment were key in capturing the glorious growl of the A359's RR Trent XWB-84 turbofans. Living 14 miles north of KSEA, I'm treated to the sound of commercial air traffic climbing out over downtown Seattle when wind patterns dictate northbound departures. The magnificent music of the Trent XWB-84 is immediately recognizable; it is in a class by itself. Several years ago, we were treated to the sound of BA's two daily KSEA-EGLL flights operated by B744 aircraft with RB211-524G/H turbofans and these days we have AA's KSEA-EGLL nonstop flown with B772 aircraft and their Trent 892 turbofans. As other viewers have noted, Rolls-Royce truly never disappoints!

I traveled on Qatar's A350 and 787 and I found the A350 a lot quieter during cruise and landing but the 787 to be quieter during takeoff.
