On November 22, the Shrine held the first event in our new monthly series, Evenings with the Merciful Jesus. Led by Sister Donata Farbaniec and Sister Gaudia Skass of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, each evening of the 22 of the month features a talk, adoration with praise and worship, confession, refreshments, and fellowship.

I came back to the Church after watching Siostra Gaudia and Siostra Donata in their passionate love for Divine Mercy and Saint Faustyna and I had that " AHA!" moment. Divine Mercy. For me? He knows me? He loves me? I have to check this out! And so I watch these talks religiously. Hoping for more (HINT, SIOSTRAS!) I bought every book related to Faustyna. And went to the Retreat "Known and Loved" on October 5, 2019, which happens to be Siostra Faustyns'a Feast Day. Wow! Divine Intervention for Divine Mercy!

St Faustina’s diary is titled ‘Divine Mercy in My Soul’. The collection of journals is just over 1000 pages and can be found on-line for free. I’m not much of a reader, but this is an amazing read and it totally blew away everything I thought I knew about the faith so I read it again. St Faustina has already a petition to be the 34th Doctor of the Church since scripture scholars haven’t found error in the writings yet

This sister is so sweet. If there were ever an ugly evil time in history and I had to die in place of her I would, just as Maximillian did in the concentration camp. He sacrificed himself for someone else. I know she would ask the good Lord to forgive me and she would pray for me. She’s genuine. She’s sweet. At this point, 21 people have viewed & given this a thumbs down.… I hope & pray these folks (since they at least took time to watch this) are struggling to gain spiritual wisdom, and, before too long, each of the 21 comes to recognize and appreciate the spiritual wisdom of St Faustina. The story is both uncanny and completely credible. There was a time where I, too, would have discounted it out-of-hand. Now I have learned that there is something beyond what we can discern from eons of geology and the astronomical wonders in the universe. It doesn't make scientific sense, but it is documented and knowable, and it is God.
