I'm 57 years old,I think that I have to go to work on this project. It looks good to me, my knees don't help much but I think this yoga will help. I really going to star this.

Wow! Is that how it’s done? If I try to do hand stands I fall off. I suppose with someone assisting until you get the balance, it then works. Even with the splits, full flexibility is not there. Continuous dedication n practice makes perfect.

Well one important answer is that complex movements takes up +70% of our brainsize, and a continuation of complex movement into our later years hinders loss of cognitive capacity. This too goes for coutch-potatoe youths, which should get you terrified. Other than that, strength will always be more important than flexibility the older we get, since serious injury like muscle ruptures in arms and hips is due to atrophy and calcified bones. But strength, with flexibility training, keeps both the muscles and the skeleton more flexible or "young". There is an exponential decrease of injury the stronger you are in the outer range of motion. Ergo these excersises might seem overkill, but in reality it's the most logical thing you can do.
