Faith is the perfect name for a dog who was definitely perfect in her own way. On September 22, 2014, Faith ran across the Rainbow Bridge with four legs, chasing a pack of squirrels to the other side. ❤️

Well in her case she had to learn to balance on her back legs. It was her only way to get anywhere, and to survive. However, in other cases the poor dog is usually beaten any time they put their front feet down. Those dogs are used as "show" to prance around in clothing and shown to tourists who pay for pictures with the animal.

This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Not just for the obvious reason, but because this dog will go on to save COUNTLESS other dogs with a similar deformity. She proved that a dog can have a great life with just 2 legs, so, putting a similar dog down isn't necessary.

This is an old video, just played again. She was a wonderful doggie, you can see how much pain she was in. Walking like that all those years probably was very hard on her body. She had no choice, unlike those people who make their dogs walk on two legs. She was not forced for entertainment but survival so its different. I can see though that she was uncomfortable, but she kept trying. She was a miracle!

I think she would have been much more comfortable if she had been given a harness with wheels in the front. When she sat down and whined it broke my heart. She wanted to keep up, but her poor old body was just not cooperating.

Why would that break your heart? This dog's life has been more fulfilling than most people. She's been overseas, visited the troops, been on TV (OPRAH) traveled to many great places, and has inspired COUNTLESS people. The amount of positivity that Faith has brought into this world can't even be measured. If anything, that should put a huge smile on your face.

Cute dog. The first time I took my dog to a dog park he was a 70lb 6 month old puppy. He ended up getting bullied by a 3 legged dog who would stop chasing him and a couple other dogs. It really is crazy how fast dogs can run even missing limbs. I felt so bad and we ended up leaving after 10 minutes and I never took him back to that dog park :/

@@amylarson3958 there was really no need to do something as drastic as that. He wasn’t biting him or being aggressive he just didn’t understand my dog didn’t enjoy it since he’d never interacted with other big dogs so he didn’t understand their version of playing. I did what was necessary and removed my dog from the situation there was no need to exasperate a situation. Then it’s just ruining it for that dog who just wanted to play and played with all of the other dogs just fine. Stuff like that happens and if it can be settled between owners without contacting the authorities that’s how it should be handled. If a dog is being aggressive however and actually flat out attacking peoples dogs then yes contacting then to get them involved should happen. Especially if your animal is injured in the altercation. My dog was fine just a little scared so he ran behind my legs and I brought him home. From then I worked with him meeting larger dogs in more well controlled environments instead. He had really only encountered smaller dogs before then. I am glad though that the situation did not effect him in the long term when it came to his training and friendliness with other dogs as sometimes those incidents can. Otherwise it was handled appropriately and without a need to escalate the issue.

@@neverendingdevelopments2845 - Yes, sounded like the other dog just wanted to play just like how dogs play. Normal dog behavior. I wouldn’t call it bullying, not at all, that’s not fair. Some dogs do bully though, at a local dog club, all the dogs of one particular breed would come together and gang up on, chase and bite young puppies of other breeds (one at a time). That IS bullying, for sure! Several of us would stop going there because the owners of those dogs never did anything, they just let their dogs behave like that and it would cause young puppies to become scared of other dogs when they were brought there to be socialized in a positive environment… Not OK!

@@lottatroublemaker6130 yeah that was why I took my pup home. The other dog wanted to play rougher then he was use to and he thought the other dog was bullying him is what I meant. It just wasn’t the right time for him as he was just getting use to his longer limbs and all the other dogs were older. It was more his reaction to what the other dog was doing that made it seem like bullying since he was crying and running away from the dogs chasing him which in turn spurred them on to chase him more. In general just was not a good first dog park experience for him. We just go to the dog beach now or the farmers market, he likes and plays with the dogs there instead. The dogs at the dog park just had a little to much energy for him at the time.

It’s amazing how animals adapt as I have a three legged cat living in my road as he lost one of his legs due to being caught in a hare trap which the farmer had left out and he’s been like that for years and is always running around playing
