Such sad news about Olivia's passing. She was only 73 & bravely fought cancer for nearly 3 decades. Olivia had so many great songs such as "I Honestly Love You", "If Not for You", "Let Me Be There", "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)", "Have You Never Been Mellow", "Magic", Xanadu" etc. She starred with John Travolta in the movie "Grease" in 1978 & they had some great songs together "You're the One That I Want" & "Summer Nights".

I think that two female vocalists from the 1970s will live for all time: Karen Carpenter and Olivia Newton-John. This is not to say that there aren't many others who were also good; but Carpenter and Newton-John were great, in a way that comes but once in a generation -- and the '70s got two.

Livvy was not just a talented singer who left Australia for England around the same time as the Gibb brothers and was a lifelong friend of them singing with them many times. She will also be remembered here in Australia for founding the Olivia Newton John Cancer Research and Wellness Centre in Melbourne after raising millions which she continued right up to her death. Oliva was popular starting in the late 60'and took off in yhe 70's. I grew up on her music. She started in Grease and this song is from Grease my fav songsi are Let Be There, I honestly Love you and Magic. She started in Grease with John Travolta. John absolutely loved her.
