Hello, you have great videos. I have idea to make electric saw because I have electric motor. May I ask you to share some information about type and diameter of pulleys on ES 5/8, bearing housing for Schaft, because I don't know how to put all that under the plate with 64 mm distance between table and plate. Thank you.

Japp blir jättefin yta med kedjesågen. Betydligt finare än vad man kan få med en bandsåg.

Hello! I see you have the new Logosol speedsaw E5. Could I ask - do you prefer it over the older model?
@Projectoftheday2 жыл бұрын
Yes I prefer the new saw. It use standard Stihl bar instead of a special bar

Halo allesammen... I like your videos and how you show the everyday situations. I noticed the same problem I sometimes have: the 6 inch block seems not to be parallel. This might occure because of tensions in the log e.g. from spiral growing, or if the sharpening of the chain tends the cut to one side, right? At about 4:44 a cut ends where I observed a slight slip upside when the bar has left the log. I think this can not be evitated, or what is your experience about this? And then I'd like to know what wonderful music that is, which you added to the video at about min. 8, the guitar picking. What's the name of the title and the band? Tusen takk for svar, hilsen fra sveits

Peter Simonis, I have an M8 and had the same problem. I solved it with several measures. I think they all had some effect, but not one single thing was 'the' answer. What I did: Bought a precision hand chain filing tool from Stihl; swapped to skip tooth chains, sharpened at no more than 10 degrees. This ensures the chain doesn't pull down or up, I installed (home made) bar nose steering (25" chain). I checked, double and triple checked the frame was square and flat in all directions, shimmed the chainsaw carriage and adjust with a set screw so it is perfectly level. I tried various chocks, wedges etc to make sure the log doesn't move. I find the original clamps very poor at holding logs with thick bark (oak, etc). Now I have beautiful boards. I found that grain direction and twist had NO effect on the trueness of the cut, but at first I convinced myself that it WAS the wood. It's not. It's mainly the design of the system. Logosol were not listening when I told them I had a problem, but look on YT and forums and you'll see anyone handling anything large or tough (not a perfect softwood 8 incher as always demonstrated by Logosol) has some versipon of this problem. It seems worse the more of a perfectionist you are! Good luck, it's well worth trying these things. With hindsight I'd go first for swapping the chain for narrow kerf, ripping skip tooth.
