5:15 Max Crush is not the only move that increases heat action damage, executing _any_ charge attack in Kiwami *(Enemy contact not required btw!)* will make the next heat action you use do significantly more damage; honestly I think was an intentional, unspoken addition rather than a bug/glitch.

One of my favorite over powered abilities is Tanimuras heat action where he puts handcuffs on a enemy that will instantly KO them. Normally this is kinda hard to do since you need them stunned or doing a very specific downed animation until you remember that the backwards evasion strike will stun enemies. So if you position yourself against a wall and hit a fairly strong enemy with the evasion strike, you can instantly KO them. This works against all enemies except bosses I think.

In yakuza 0, beast style has a skill where you charge at the enemy and bear hug them but it needs 3 heat bars, there is also a skill where you helicopter throw the enemy and spin them thst requires 2 hear bars and gains heat. So essentialy you could bear hug and helicopter throw the enemy endlessley. It also does a ton of damage.

Theres also Tiger's Hidden Arts in Lost Judgment that if you do even ONE charged attack you get the one of the most ridiculous if not the most ridiculous damage buff in all of the RGG Games which you can spam alot and can do it consistently thanks to tiger having hyperarmor during certain attacks of the rush combo

This isn’t really an overpowered ability but pressing the heavy attack button once with Crane in LJ when near an object such as a wooden plank will send it flying at an enemy as a projectile. The damage isn’t great but it does stop their momentum, can induce agony and is just really funny to watch

In the first Kiwami, theres something called "Time for Destruction" while being a bit finnicky with normal enemies, just tiger dropping bosses with the ability is just broken, then again it falls within the counter section, thats all

There’s a funny bug in kiwami that lets you do the time for xxxx without climax heat. Basically you swap to dragon style, quickstep style swap into whatever style and activate the ability instantly. Apparently this works bc dragon style heat bars all count as climax heat and the instant style swap changed your heat bar slightly too slow.

For the Kiwami "Charged" Heat Actions works with any charged attack, and every style has one, the only one that doesn't work is brawler's charged knee tho, the side and back dodge attacks are the only ones that work in Brawler

One of my favorite things in Kiwami is the dodge cancel and dodge attacks on the dragon style because (at least with majima) if you do Light -Heavy then Dodge Cancel into the side dodge attack you can actually stun lock him for as long as you are able to stay in heat mode for the speed increase and as long as you can stay behind him so he doesn't armor through it. All you gotta do is just Komaki parry him to set it up and then you can just bully him for as long as you want. fun stuff

I know Tiger Drop has been mentioned, but I'd like to point out that in Kiwami, for whatever reason, it is possible to tiger drop against enemies with GUNS, making it the strongest implementation of Tiger drop is the series. With this revelation, it is possible to do a NG+ playthrough of the entire story purely using tiger drop as your method of attack if you wish to do so. (which I have done)

One move in Yakuza 7 I really love is Lovedrunk Typhoon. It's an ability you get from the Idol job which lowers the defense of all enemies and has a chance of charming all of them. Since Eri has the highest speed stat, I would often give her Idol so that I can start every fight with it.

I don't remember if this was mentioned in a prior video, nor if it would even qualify, but those Yakuza 6 moves you mentioned are nothing compared to grabbing an object and heavy attacking. The fact you can cancel heat actions made the game extremely easier since it felt like just swinging a bike three times did more damage than using a heat attack. The only times I used the attacks you mentioned was when there were no objects to grab. Game still felt really easy though, the final boss on Legend only felt a little harder than on Normal.

Dunno if they count, but the extracts (the consumable items) in J and LJ are insane powerful, especially especially in J. You are probably thinking of the DLC super power ones and yes, those are broken, but even the regular ones are just ridiculous. From unblocakble attacks, Kiryu's parry (but automatic) to just literally Beast Style, there's so much op stuff there. There's the one Poundmate in 7 that makes you take only like 10% of the damage from attacks. The boxing style in LJ is just all around ridiculous, iirc it even has a weird autoblock ability that makes you really hard to hit

Kiwami introduced a lot of ways to seamlessly switch fighting styles. Some mad geniuses have used this in conjunction with “Time for Godspeed” to create elaborate back massage combos for the few bosses that don’t auto-turn. In Yakuza 0 however, you only need to equip the Quick-change clothes and you can instantly use the style-change to cancel any and ALL attack animations. Being able to immediately follow up a drop-kick with a combo or just nullify hit-stun in brawled is really fun.

Even on the bosses, its just a free chunk of damage every single time you do your INVINCIBLE PARRY. the toki talisman in lost paradise is busted, it has a long cooldown sure but it takes out like 5 enemies at the push of a button. the hokuto talisman is also really good, letting you just wipe out entire hoards by spamming square, but thats only in premium adventure

Excluding Kiryu's Brawler abilities in Y0 when drunk (which apparently gives him the power of the fucking sun), I'd also like to mention that the counters to mortal attacks in LJ not only do incredible amounts of damage but also just look cool as all hell. Nothing like repeatedly taunting a boss until he gets enraged and attempts a mortal attack, then just yeeting him over your head in Snake Style and dealing nearly a full healthbar of damage.

I'm not sure why Peerless resolve is in here, the strategy of reapplying it every turn to make yourself technically invincible instantly falls apart the moment you're attacked by more then 1 enemy, Or if the enemy does a multi hit move or if they move again before you're able to recover. its been over a year since i finished LAD but, If i had to pick a skill from the Hero class that i felt was way too good to the point of being nearly broken I'd definitely have to mention the "Swing" series of skills with their hitboxs. Seriously, if it was just mega swing i'd be fine with it. An early game, Rank 1 skill that hits all enemies near Ichiban enemies twice. whatever, but then at rank 12 gets a Mid-game upgrade called Giga swing which is just the same skill but better. And it scales based on how low Ichiban's HP is, i don't know how much of a difference that makes, but they already deal pretty solid damage already. It's just the perfect skill to deal with random encounters. At least Essence of Full Swing's damage makes sense since you are required to reach Rank 28 in order to get it.

Kiryu's brawler style has counter attacks where if you press the attack button after getting hit, Kiryu will cancel his hit animation and launch another attack with hyper armour. Couple this with the massive damage and defense boosts he gets while drunk in this style and Brawler truly becomes the unga bunga style. You can recreate that scene with Nishiki where you're both just trading punches, only this time with every enemy in the game. kiryu simply refuses to stop attacking in Brawler and I love it

There's also beast's heal in Yakuza 0 which even at your 2nd gauge can restore like a quarter of your maxed HP and half of your maxed health bar HP. (Kiryu can get heat easily to repeat it again and again especially when being drunk (btw drunk brawler is really broken))

For me at least when I'm using crane EX combo, just let some of the kicks hit first then doing EX Action, but there's some chances where you cannot do the EX Action that's probably you are too far away to the enemies or just the RGG algorithm. Edit: Also leapfrog when using KBM is hell because you can't do the leapfrog from behind.

A problem you might be having is a common one I get where the final kick has to hit someone without killing them to do the EX Action. Sometimes what’ll happen is I accidentally hit a weak enemy only with the final hit so I don’t get to trigger the attack. But I dunno if that’s the problem you’re having or not

Kiwamis time for godspeed can absolutely shred with katanas, Its not super OP as you will need to activate it in rush style THEN pull out your katana (as you cant use the "Time For" abillities with weapons) which can leave you open for attacks. As for useless abillities: Time for yinglong. An abillity that consumes heat, to prevent decrease of heat that you now need to rebuild.

It should also be mentioned that Kiryu can literally infinite combo bosses using his Square > Triangle > Circle bounding throw in Yakuza 5. The timing on it is a bit weird but I figured it out during my first playthrough of the game and combo'd all 8 or 9 of the final boss's health bars during the first phase and then just watched all the QTEs like a little movie so yeah that's fine I guess

for Itchibans peerless resolve skill, its litterly required for the final boss, since they have a 1 shot kill move thats a guarantee hit, it can insta KO all party members, and ichi going down means full restart of the fight, so your required to use the death save to survive the 1 shot move through sheer determination, thought it was cool

I kinda hate Kaito's Bruiser counter, the copy of Brawler's counter hook. It provides no and will guarantee that you will eat some sort of damage whether it's a goon or a boss It does knock back the opponent but without the existent of an and the strict restriction of the frame activation, you will get hit no matter what. Also all of Kaito bosses has hyper armor, making it go to shit real fast Like somehow Repel can work while Kaito is on the other side of the Earth (it literally triggers when you're behind the target, also when you're spamming light attack at their face, it can also trigger if they try to retaliate) but Bomb Punch has the sucky Yakuza 3 TD properties for some reason, making it undesirable. Also the brawler get up Heat Action being gated behind low health on Kaito is kinda trash too.

Peerless Resolve isn't overpowered, it gives a blanket against an issue present in a lot of games where protag death = git fucked even if it does not make a lick of sense (Yakuza 7 being an *exception* since this is Ichiban's imagination at work) Peerless Resolve does not save other members, and spamming it does not save you from a double tap, no matter how much you hope it does.
