Having old packages next to the new one from Amazing Yamaguchi line feels like the worst betrayal.😔 I just can't cope, I love the old boxes I have and I want to just throw new one into the trash. They wanted their figures to be presented as premium products and they took away all the soul with it. It's like Japanese modernisation era history in a nutshell.

Got myself the Yama Black Panther and let me say that box itself was worth the price.....Shame they dont keep it up anymore.

I think the reason why they changed the boxes for the yamaguchi stuff is because the sculptor, yamaguchi katsuhisa, is retiring soon from sculpting action figures but he has trained others to sculpt like him. This is just what I’ve heard from others tho. Idk if it’s true or not, haven’t heard anything official about it. I’m just hoping this doesn’t have any effect on the quality of their releases. But yeah i think that’s why they doing it. They also have the amazing yamaguchi part in smaller letters to signify that.

i actually like both styles of boxes. As a designer myself i appreciate the chaotic comic look and the new sleek minimalistic look.

Great review Ace. The torso is super strange. I think the second body is just a sprue to keep everything together, like with the extra hands. The torso that comes with the hardened parts doesn’t have torso articulation either. You can also pop out the bottom of the hair to have him look up more.

Kaiyido has been killing it recently. (( i am mixed on this guy tho)) they sorta revamped the figures look good in vanilla/ neutral poses and not much of a mess like the older figures i got my hands on the flash figures and absoultely amazing man he is in my top 10 of 2023 and reverse flash too cant wait for moon knight

I guess it just mold issues on the second body waist joint like gunpla sometime the policab is god tier god smooth and elastic but sometimes they just brittle and just bad

I hope someone soon, gives us a custom inner chest/ab joint so we don't have to take apart as much. Also fyi, the guy who designed Mirko, Ochaco and Himiko, also did you for Vigilante Deku. So I would expect that to be coming very soon (he also had a design for Twice as well, but given we are getting a more recent anime version of Shigaraki, I would expect a more recent Deku too). My rerelease of Deku doesn't have the issues you were talking about though

The leg being the way it is is the only major gripe I have. And maybe the fact there’s only one smiling face that looks to the side. Other than that the figure is a 8.9/10
