They are great but, not "the greatest". That's subjective. Every era has their own opinions. There is a younger generation being born every decade and each decade will argue about who's "the greatest". If you go by Rings, Jordan and Kobe aren't even close and neither is LeBron. Greatness still exists within all of them, despite the amount of rings they may have. We all have opinions and they are all valid. I do, however, agree that Kobe should be mentioned more than he's been mentioned. It's disrespectful too the game of Basketball too not mention his name, when speaking of greatness.
