I haven’t been a subscriber for long as I recently just came across your channel from picking up crochet again, but this video did make me emotional in the fact of being 22 and being in the corporate world for 4 years. In the beginning I was elated to have left food service and my job took advantage of it by overworking me to “gain experience in every department” and I’m at a point for the past month where I cry at my desk and I no longer feel happy to clock in cause of how passive and overworked the corporate world is. No matter how nice you are there’s always gonna be someone challenging or targeting you. I’ve been thinking of doing a career change very soon and honestly your moms words are giving me that extra push. Kudos to your parents for being such a support system for you ❤

So happy for you to start this journey!! As far as niches go, I followed/subscribed to you initially because of your crochet content but the reason I’ve stayed is because the videos you make (tutorials, travel vlogs, etc.) are so grounded in who you are and your humor! Don’t restrict yourself to any one category (unless that makes it easier) because I’m sure there are a ton of people who are watching because we want to support you and your endeavors, regardless of whether or not it’s a NYC vlog or a cozy crochet video! Sending all the love! 🫶🫶

I think what makes watching your videos so enjoyable is the combination of having that sister/best friend vibe that I just feel very comfortable watching and also the fact that you are unapologetically yourself. You offer a sense of humor that is very gen Z but you also clearly know what it is like to grind and work hard. I truly hope this feels like the right step in your life and you really deserve the world for making the leap. You are right, it is always possible to fall back but what if you didn't try? Goodluck! So I come across your content via YT shorts (I’m not on TikTok,) and what I’ve enjoyed seeing is how happy with your creations you seem to be and the pride of place you give them in your life (wearing pieces you make, integrating your crocheting/knitting into your social and out-of-the-home life) because it feels it inspires me to enjoy my creating more and to show that side of me more. I also like to see friends you spend time with since they all seem like good people, and while I’m not into fashion for myself, I enjoy seeing people like you styling looks that feel right to them. I’m glad I clicked on this video because I’ve come away really impressed with your deep thinking, intelligence, and self-awareness. The parental support is so important. I also have Asian parents that worked really hard and they saw me lose years of my life to a corporate job that I hated. When I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to quit, they were behind me 100% and I don't think I would have been able to quit without that. I'm now in a job that feels similar to your construction job - good work life balance and will probably allow me to realign my goals and figure out what I want to try in the next year or so.

Yes! I love I'm getting to know more about you since you began YT. While I found you on TT first and the videos were all cool, as you said there seemed to be always this strong pressure to read the trend and put out content accordingly on TT, short and catchy enough and all that, and I was just getting curious about you as a person and wanted to see more of that? I started following you here back when you only had like two full-length videos with little viewership and I was worried you would eventually go back to TT. Now I'm glad that you're posting on YT more regularly and gained momentum to hit 100k!

hi grace!! I got laid off last year (3 weeks before my wedding looooool) which left me in a WHIRLWIND in terms of what I wanted to do next career-wise (I'm a graphic designer). It did force me to reconsider my options, and I also ended up diving into my own youtube channel, which is something that I always wanted to do but never had the time for - filming crochet content but in an organic way. It took me literally 8 full months of constant applying and interviewing until I found my dream gig now, but that "time off" I really value because I learned how to rebalance myself and do the thing that was always a "what if." I truly think things happen for a reason and that the timing of all of this was no mistake! I think you should keep that organic approach like you mentioned, and do a mix of crochet and fashion/lifestyle as it comes up instead of one or the other. You won't feel like you need to frantically over-plan your life/feel restricted, and definitely helps to distinguish a boundary, which is often blurred in this industry. Treat yourself with gentleness, you have a lot of people that believe in you and are following you BECAUSE they like you. Imposter syndrome is real lol but this is something to be proud of!! I wish you the best of luck and I'm excited to see you in this new chapter!! ✨💖

And please find a day or maybe two too shit off social media and just live in the moment. You will burn yourself out. Just like a 9 to 5 give yourself a weekend.
