Those 4:1 gear reduction units are AWESOME! I have one on my RC logging truck. Before the GRU, it was too fast, & had NO torque! With the GRU, the speeds are more scale, & there is plenty of torque now.

Nice I went a different route with a reduction drive i just installed Lesu reduction drive locking diffs with the planet gears in the hubs

Is lift axle cosmetic or functional? Scotty made one that actusll is somewhat functional. Your rig is beautiful and I have plans to build heavy haul after December.

It looked like he went with a lesu trailer "air suspension" kit and just zip tied it in the compressed, or fully up, position. Id imagine with a snip of the zip ties it would drop. It doesnt look like he went the fully functional servo actuated route.
