Amazon Ads Architecture at Scale - ReInvent 2021

This is my presentation in ReInvent 20210. The session was for technology executives and engineering leaders, to get an exclusive look at how Amazon Ads uses AWS for campaign management, ad serving, ad events, and ad selection. I talk about how Amazon Ads use Amazon ElastiCache to perform 30 million key lookups per second with 500 million distributed keys and how we scaled Amazon DynamoDB to prepare for massive traffic spikes on Prime Day. So essentially the Java client implemented a typical read repair for some keys. For the other keys, it used reconciliation
