This tutorial will show how to create an AWS RDS Aurora MySQL cluster and scale it up and down with an Auto Scaling Policy.
Here are are the steps we will cover:
- create Security Group to access Aurora MySQL cluster
- create Aurora mysql cluster
- auto scale out to 10 readers
- auto scale in to 1 reader
- delete Aurora cluster

Do we need to manually edit auto-scaling policy for scaling-in operations to happen? Isn't there a way to auto delete instances when policy is not applicable?

I am not sure why are blank databases causing the CPU loads? Even up to 20%?
