The exact same tripod is branded as "National Geographic" - great compact length but awfully fiddly to set up with these screw releases. Also quite heavy.

Hi, great video. Two quick questions: 1- The minor problem with the screws, do they screw metal to metal so that we could use something like loctite? Not sure if it would work on plastic. 2- Have you had any experience using this tripod in cold weather? North Norway and Sweden in winter sometimes we get -20D Celsius or colder. Thanks for sharing, and it was not boring to watch.
@WillChidlow4 жыл бұрын
Hi Vitor! Since making this video I have actually used Loctite on my tripod and confirm it has 100% solved the issue for me so yes, great idea and will definitely work.. Secondly, Im in the UK so haven't really tested in extreme cold however I wouldn't imagine it being too much of an issue. Ive just reviewed another carbon tripod by K&F concepts which also be worth you checking out, it's slightly more money but much more solid than the amazon one and slightly taller as well. due to the cold weather id be tempted to stretch the budget and consider the K&F option. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching

Honestly, I am shocked at how expensive tripods are!! I have one I barely used because it's horrible (I believe it was a Hama, says enough), bulky, heavy, and not nice to travel with (always use my Joby). But now that I extended to filming I really am searching for a new usable tripod that can go higher than the Joby. Honestly shocked at the prices most of the tripods have.
@WillChidlow2 жыл бұрын
Yep it’s true, good quality tripods do cost a lot. Never a fun purchase but a quality tripod will last you a very long time. Hope you find something that does the job for you! 👍🙏😎

@@WillChidlow I'm honestly more confused than before, but I'll be either a gimbal stabilizer or static and light tripod for travel. It's really a difficult choice. I think I know the whole camera KZbin community by now, cause I've been watching so many review video's, and it did not make things easier. 🤣

@@taranmoran6063 Heya, sorry Just saw your reply in between my notifications. But to be honest, no I did not. I was broke and thought I'll just manage with my flimsy Joby mini tripod. It is not as sturdy anymore, always in danger of falling down, but it still works. I'll invest once I find a steady job this year. Good luck though! It is truly a battlefield, the internet, and the search for a good, durable, proper, not too expensive tripod.
