Is the Brita water filter the brita elite filter or the regular filter? How is it with flouride? And how does it compare wit Zero water? Thank you.

The Brita Elite filter is discussed in the video. In our full report (bit.ly/48KP0h2) you can see how it differs from ZeroWater and many other water filter pitchers.

It sucks

My suspicion is, Brita discontinued a version of filter and let 3rd parties produce them while Brita markets a new version. Amazon may not make claims or advertise a long filtration life due to rights to produce the product with limited claim agreements. Just a guess, so testing these filters for optimal life span would be a decent test to do to fully consider quality over marketing.

Not really. Brita still sells the standard filter. Brita has always said they're good for 40 gallons or two months. The blue ones are good for 120 gallons or 6 months. The differences are that the blue ones last longer, remove more contaminants (over 30 compared to just 5 with the standard filters), and the standard are just specks of active carbon and ion exchange resin with a mesh at the bottom to prevent black flecks in the water, and an outer shell, and the blue ones are actually a small carbon block. The blue ones are better made and the reason nobody else is making them is because they're patented. All of the patents on the standard filter have expired, yet Brita is the only ones that makes one that people don't complain about clogging and air bubbles with. Walmart pays Influenster to send people free Great Value water filters and they say good things because they're flooding the site with fake reviews, but then when you go buy them you find you have to whack the filters with a rubber mallet to get the thing flowing again and it's just not worth the cost, even though they are very cheap. I went right back to the Britas and then to the blue ones. Interestingly, while the blue ones remove some nasty stuff like lead and arsenic, the standard ones remove zinc and copper (usually there from the breakdown of plumbing) which can have sort of a metallic taste. No Brita filter removes every contaminant that one of their other filters can handle, not even the faucet mounted ones, which are the best actually by number of contaminants removed (over 60), but expensive and requires messing with your kitchen sink and reminding everyone not to run hot water through the filter and to bypass the filter when they won't be drinking that water.

I’ve always used a Zero water pitcher. Never thought the Brita was as good.

I heard that actually adds more microplastics though

Brita Elite water filters are a total disappointment. They don't last 6 months, more like 3 months. Water taste bad after 3 months. Only 1 person in this household used the Brita, so no excuse. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Brita brand It's overpriced and a rip off. My generics work just fine and much cheaper!
