Amazon Delivery Station - Stow pt. 2

When push comes to shove, I speed u[ and scan the buffer for A-C pkgs, and bang out A-B jiffy. Those are within arms reach, and the rest of the pkgs (D-G + OV's) are placed on the stow cart for me to work my way down.
- For any jiffy tote, I think it is best to grab multiple jiffies to scan and stow them quickly, especially when you get multiple ones in the same bag (e.g., D.03 + D.03 + D.02 pkgs will be stowed with minimal steps.
** Organize bags as I go, and rearrange pkgs to fill in the space, jiffies to the side and on top of pkgs to utilize all space (at my warehouse, we fill each bag to the brim usually).
** I like to use 2 empty jiffy totes on each aisle. One will be under my stow cart, and the second will be on the top tier row A. Utilizing 2 totes enables me to swap out full jiffy on C-D & E-G, slide them down, working on A-B first.

I just got through my 1st 4 days and it's hard work due to the heavy packages, but the actual task of doing the job is easy. You have to move fast and if your body isn't used to physical labor, it's going to wipe you out in the 1st week. Hange in there because it'll get better when your body gets used to it all. Man you’re the first person I seen talk extremely positive about the job, I’m starting the delivery station 4 day 10 hour shift on the 20th and I already deal with chronic back pain sometimes from doing absolutely nothing, I hope I can make it through the first 4 days, definitely just temporary work while I look for something Better

For boxes, I think they should face the SAL labels toward the isles. Makes it much easier to stack on the stow cart.

In this position, you need to scan 215 boxes/jiffies per hour. If you hear the "lee loo lee loo" it's a miss scan and you need to not do that too often because they can dock you for it.

I have gotten better with stowing. Muscle memory obtained. I did buffing, which isn’t too bad, but stressful when I am constantly getting heavy oversized packages. Even if I get team lift assistance, packages are moving fast down the belt. Stowing can make one tired, but I notice that the shift goes by faster for me.

Bro you should try leaving your scanner in the B or C bags. I used to have the wrist band setup like you but it kept slowing me down/ tiring my arms.

Does your warehouse have 50% rack completion policy? We had to clear out the middle rack and move to the next. It ensures none of the aisles look like a disaster.
