Amazon's new Echo has taken on a new form factor; they're done with cylinders and have transitioned to spheres.
The new Echo 4th gen. also has upgraded hardware making it sound better than ever. It even has a Zigbee Hub built in to expand on its smart home capabilities.
Is this the best smart speaker you can buy now? Pretty much yes, but there are a few reasons you may want to wait

How's the voice command? As it little brother totally sucks!! The hub is limited so what's the sense? Really don't need it as there are a lot of products that are coming out without needing one. The only advantage to this is sound.
