Hi thank you so much for your tips. I have an issue with my latest kindle fire 7th generation update. Before this latest update when ever I was reading or using text to speech I could touch a word and have the kindle ready to me from that point on . A menu would come up were you can choose a colour leave notes and search ,copy, play The option to play is now unavailable I tried trouble shooting, factory reset Nothing is working Is there something you could recommend that I haven't thought of?

the pin app feature works but the disbale touch feature for a very small child who keeps touching the screen not very useful as when I disbale it, the youtube content stops and to unpause I need to enable that touch feature which defeats the point. anybody know a way around this or a tablet that has proper functionality of this feature for smaller children who will keep touching the screen.

Hi I’ve got a important question! My father passed away June 2021 and his caregiver had given him the Amazon Fire HD8 generation 5. Well, I’ve charged it but it doesn’t open up. So, is there any way I could get off the only screen that it shows Amazon and that’s useless! It’s not responding to rebooting (turning off then back on) I want to write a couple of children’s books and a book about our family’s amazing adventures growing up in Southern California; pretty trippy book I hope! Perhaps you can try enabling Bluetooth. Go to the [Settings] menu, and select [Connected Devices]. Turn on Bluetooth, and search for the device you wish to connect.

Excellent tips. I just bought an Amazon Fire HD10 Tablet in Amazon UK and I'm just discovering as is my first Amazon device ever. One thing that I notice is the absence of the Google Play store, means that no access to many of my used apps, to access for example foreign Newspapers apps that will allow me to read when offline. I check the net with some tips but different opinions and different files to be installed. Did you already reviewed this subject.?? Appreciate all your possible help. Best Regards.

AS it's essentially a heavily modified version of Android and runs on a Linux kernel, there are no viruses that can affect it. There are other forms of malware sure, but they're very rare, especially if you only use Amazon's app store.

I'm blind in both eyes, but I don't let that get in the way of what I wish to do in life. Perhaps you can get a trusted friend to say what it is you wish for, or maybe you can enable Amazon's screen reader, wherefore, is Voiceview. It runs software from the IVONA speech synthesizer, and for me, it's quite amazing. To turn on Voiceview, go to the settings menu, and select [Accessibility] which includes vision and hearing settings. You can also do this by pressing the power button three times in synchrony.
