Requires a thicker than normal cellphone cord kinda short 24inches with a 1Amp adapter. I sorted through 8 yrs of micro USB cables and adapters to find this unbranded adapter with a 5 mil thick cable 24 inches. Held home button on two previously registered remotes at the end of 6 min wait and BAM! #subscribed #followed

I didn't have the original cords, but I got the best charger and box in the house and did what you said. I went through at least 7 cords, and five boxes until I got it right. worked like a charm. Procedure worked exactly as described. Additionally, the fault was spot on. Aafter moving I switched the 110/USB plug for one that fit more ergonomically in the new location. The system looped appx 30 - 40 minutes. The fix occurred in less than 10 mins by executing the steps indicated.

Simple fix: towards the end of the loop hold the HOME button down until it finishes, then the HOME screen will appear.

Ah thank you! Ive been on a loop ALL day and night. Had to do trial and error with dozens cords and boxes. Finally got a good match, and instead of a box I had to plug it into one of those big charging banks that hold 4 chargers. After that I let the loop run, hit the home button, it ran the loop once more then I was back in business!

By leaving the extension off you take a risk of your stick overheating and melting over time. Check the return status on sticks on amazon

Natalie C, I hope you have gotten your firestick fixed by now but if not, get a charger that has 2 amps (called a fast charger), good quality and it should work. My friends were using the original charger & firestick that I gave to them and had the same problem. I was able to fix it with a fast charger.

Mine did the opposite. First I was using the original Amazon cord and USB adapter. Then that damn Optimizing Loop screen kept coming on. So I used a different USB adapter that is not a Amazon brand and it worked. Don’t use cheap generic adapters or unbranded ones. Only use the expensive name brand ones.

Amazon have a built-in glitch so you have to use their plug & cord it a power issue if you use any other cables it goes into optimise mode and will just keep repeating over and over.So you have to connect it to a genuine Amazon plug & cord let it optimise and it will automatically go back to normal you don't have to hold down the home button as shown in the video all your apps and memory will be intact.

YAY 😁😁. This worked for me too. It had been baffling me for over a week (since we got back from holiday before which, we had unplugged everything before we left), so i swapped the leads/plugs, pressed the home button at the end of the loop, went to a black screen and about a minute later, a little box popped up in bottom right hand corner of my screen to say my remote was now connected, then the home screen came straight back on as normal 😀😀😀😀😀

Mine was stuck while using the factory cable and wall charger. I fixed mine by repeatedly pushing the home button at the end of the loop. It went to the home screen for me.

Your not using the right power supply. Use the original one not a cheap cell phone one. There's not enuff amps to power the stick properly. There I solved it for you
