I plan on using the tablet mainly for reading Ebooks, Audible and a bit of streaming. Should work out just fine for what I intend to use it for.

What about the fact that the Amazon tablets are the only technology that can read you the Kindle books out loud consistently reliably without buying the audiobook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ONLY DEVICE!!!!!! That means you can buy cheap kindle books and have them read to you while cleaning the house, going for a walk, working out, playing video games!!!! HOW is this major feature not on anyone’s radar!!!!!!??????????

Hi Hezekiah. No news on OS 8 rollout. It's normally within about 2 months. Can't imagine it'll be pushed to anything other than the latest 8" and 10".

I'd anticipate the 10 getting the OS upgrade, the 7 from 2019 is unlikely to get it, particularly with it's lack of RAM.

Great question. It doesn't do it directly from the OS. You can get free apps from the app store to cast to your TV. You can do the same on the 9th gen, so it's not really worth the upgrade.
