Hi Ksenia, thank you so much for sharing. I watched a couple of your bts videos since yesterday and I must say you possessed some great skills. Most importantly you keep it so real and to the point in all your videos which I like very much and you definitely has earned a happy subscriber with thump up.You are a true person. You take the time to explain everything step by step. I am a male wedding and portrait photographer based out of Toronto and I enjoy shooting eshoots from my couples that wear long dress but I have never attempted a maternity shoot. What advise do you have for a male photographer who wants to attempt this kind of maternity shoot and also in the future could you share a little bit of your photoshop techniques on how you make your studio looks a lot bigger that it actually is? That's my next project actually since we are all in quarantine., to clean up my little basement and convert it into a small studio. Let's see. OMG thank you so much you just made my day! Honestly doing a Maternity shoot is no different from taking portraits of a bride, same basic posing rules apply. You just have to be precise with posing and camera angles, you don't want them looking bigger than they are 😉 you know ladies don't like that. And as a male photographer it's a bit more challenging because you can't really touch your clients, so I suggest you ask them to bring a female friend to keep an eye on things like hair& makeup or help them change and fix their outfit etc. Other than that you should be good to go! Check out my Home Studio video I shared a bit on how make it look bigger and good luck with your basement project! My quarantine project is the garage and my equipment &prop storage room which is a one big mess 😬

Check the measurements all the styles and retailers are different, you'd probably be in between M and L. If it's a soft stretchy material, I'd order M for a snug fit, but for not-so-stretchy dresses or lace I would order a Large. You can always order two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit )

Take the underwear off or Photoshop it out, there's no other way around )

you bought all of these for your clients to wear during the shoot, what size did you go with that would be a good size to fit the majority of people?

Yes I did, the sizing really depends, some dresses are very stretchy so if you buy a Medium it'd be ok to wear for most women size 4-12, you can always use clips or a belt if it's a bit loose. But I'd recommend having a "one size fits all" kinda pieces like robes or a size large dresses. Honestly, most of clients purchase or rent their own outfits, so I only keep a few pieces at the studio just in case

Most of my clients bring their own outfits, but now I'm building a studio wardrobe so I'll have some dresses for them to wear. But everyone is different there's no way I'll have all the styles and sizes. Every photographer is different, some would offer a wardrobe or a rental included with a session. But in most cases the client is responsible for purchasing or renting the outfit

I don't remember anymore, but yes you can do either a strapless bra,not alternatively I ask my clients to take off but a straps and tuck them in the cup it side of the bra, or slide off shoulder under the dress. Whatever works!
