I think the stock market will do well in 2024, so I'm thinking of putting $220,000 into stocks for my retirement. Any advice on doing this safely? Also, any important tips for the current financial situation?

If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert. Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.

Keeping money in the bank is like paying banks and the Govemment. Here's how it works: The bank gives out your money as loan, and charge interest obviously higher than inflation rate, and then give you, the depositor, interest lower than inflation rate. That means net loss for you. That is why I prefer to invest, and on average, my advisor makes returns that always beats inflation!

Amazon and Nvidia: The two most impressive companies to ever exist at the moment. (I could be wrong but I’m not;)

I guess AMZN is more impressive. Just look at the number of employees and exposure to the broader market. AMZN is the marketplace by itself.

@@SanjiChury they have several streams of income, and incredibly good at it, with the customer service obsession and “Day 1” mentality always in place. They under promise and over deliver, like Nvidia as a company 1) They just surpassed Walmart as the largest retailer, enough said there. 2) The cash cow and reason for monster growth the last 10 years is AWS (Amazon Web Services) their high margin business that accounts for 70% of the operating income and powers roughly 50% of the “internet”, growing 17% on average as of now, but about to accelerate. 3) Amazon Video, comparable to Netflix, a direct competitor 4) Advertising. They just began advertising as a focus and quickly became the 3rd most productive and profitable advertising company in the world behind Meta and Google right away, with much room to grow here. Enough said, it makes sense why their advertising strategy is effective as the simultaneous number one retailer. At the 2024 Nvidia GTC conference keynote by Jensen Huang, he explained the importance and partnership between Nvidia and AWS, I won’t elaborate - it’s complicated, but it’s good, watch it. There is a much more but without looking too crazy about my passion for a good business and investment … Andrew Jassy took over AMZN at the worst part of Covid, a very strange and uncertain time in our country. He has cleaned up the mess in the rebound and streamlined everything so well, I am literally amazed by it. He is a true leader and winner, one of the best American business CEOs ever (he was the CEO of AWS previously since early 2000’s before anyone knew what the phrase “data center” would be. I also like the chart 📈 ; )

"Never short Elon". Man. You need to live somewhere outside of Silicon Valley church. You are overexcited about things that have little or no value for the majority in the foreseeable future. None of the top automakers of the past lead today, and tsla won't be despite all of its promises most of which didn't happen btw.

when you realize elon front runned paypal, open ai, tesla, starlink, spacex, neuralink, and now twitter. all of those companies revolutioned modern society today lol....

@Jibuu1 I'm not talking about him as an inventor or even a salesdude. I'm talking about him as a tradable or investable asset. The phase of promises for him is gone. Now it's a phase of delivering in which, as reports, indicate, he better be substituted by the fully autonomous Elon. The human version of him makes too many mistakes.
