Gotta love how much Daisuke has grown. At first, he was completely feral. But here, we see that he is indeed just as smart as his predecessors.

A lizard man that howls like a wolf, speaks like a gentleman and jumps like a jumping gecko; one unique Kamen Rider indeed! People must have waited 42 years for a reboot to show its' brutality and more "updated" violence in Kamen Rider Amazons. Amazing!
@Mugen20243 жыл бұрын
That reboot is a totally different story, I only see it as a reimagining that used only the appearance as a base, I would prefer a remake of the original

amazons and black sun were pretty good, if they're gonna do another adult oriented kamen rider reboot i want a kuuga one (though i would want it to be much closer to the original than the previous ones)

This was from Kamen Rider Amazon Episode 20 "The Last Activity Of The Mole Beastman", which was aired on March 1, 1975 Saturday. Back then, the Mushroom Beastman of the Garanda/Gallander Empire (the second villain of Kamen Rider Amazon; the first one was Geddon/Gedon) had killed every humans by spreading mold created from the mushrooms. He is also responsible for killing the Geddon/Gedon Beastman Mole Beastman for betraying both Geddon/Gedon and the Garanda/Gallander Empire by spreading the mold on the latter's body. Mole Beastman had made it to the hospital with his remaining life force, so that the doctor can make an antidote for him, but he can't do it because the mold has already spread to his heart. Thus, the Mole Beastman died of heart attack due to the molds he had in his 16th and final appearance. So, Daisuke Yamamoto/Amazon took the antidote instead for a resistance against the Mushroom Beastman's mushroom mold powder attacks. This was the same antidote that the baby survived because since he/she had a cold, the mushroom mold viruses were useless against the infant, who is now a grown-up man/woman. And Daisuke/Amazon took revenge against the Mushroom Beastman for killing Mole Beastman and the humanity with a Big/Great Cut Attack. At the end of that episode, the inscription on the Mole Beastman's grave was, "The Warrior Of Courage. The Grave Of The Mole Beastman". It's been 44 years since the Geddon/Gedon Beastman got killed by the Garanda/Gallander Empire's Beastman for betrayal. Daisuke/Amazon and the Mole Beastman will always be friends for a lifetime and until death. "MOOOLLLLEEEEE!!!"
There's such a big difference between this amazon and the 2016 ones

I would argue it's not that different once you set aside the gap between modern CGI and very budgeted practical effects and bulky foam costumes. Amazons was more or less running off of Amazon's reputation as one of the most violent rider shows, setting the 70's cheesiness aside and whatnot. This clip wasn't a great example, but Amazon killed beastmen by biting, ripping and tearing until they stopped twitching, complete with practical effects blood geysers from the monster suits. Many late series fights typically ended with Amazon covered head to toe in rainbow colored monster blood. Parental concern over the violence and how imitable it was led to the show's cancellation. Amazons merely took that reputation and amped it up to 12 thanks to CGI allowing more fluid and excessive violence, marketing it as a horror piece. But stuff like Amazon Omega tearing an amazonz head off or dismembering them actually wasn't that far removed from its Kamen Rider Amazon inspiration- Amazon decapitates an decent number of beastmen and lobbed off arms and claws left and right. The show often held shots on the beastmen just lying there bleeding to death, like Porcupine Beastman on the ground with a geyser of blue blood gushing from its throat.
