Your videos are excellent, Neal. I, especially, appreciate your use of graphics. It beats the hell out of my reading the content over and over. Because when I take practice exams, it seems I get the same VPC questions incorrect when I have to select multiple options on a particular question. BTW, I clearly understand using /32 to target a specific IP address.

Well explained, Neal! The term "longest prefix" is used throughout AWS docs and presentations, but didn't realize until your video what a simple concept this is -- that "length" of prefix merely means more specific IP, which necessarily makes it "longer". Also, your use of route table on IGW explains how to force traffic through appliance. Thank you.

Great video. I just have one question - how would you communicate between public and private subnets? Would this be via private gateway?

The VPC router enables routing between subnets in a VPC. You configure it through route tables

What is the purpose of "Edge associations" on Route Tables? Is this what you're talking about in the last example with the Security Appliance? I am having a hard time finding any information or examples for these.

Suppose we want to connect two private subnets in two different VPC'c with peering connection. How will we create a Route table . Can we use the Main route table of both VPC to define the routes. Or we need to create a private route table in the second VPC

Would we use this architecture in the real world as in two VPC's with the same CIDR block address?

It usually happens because people don't plan ahead and yes it happens a lot

@@DigitalCloudTraining And it could also happen that the other VPC is a service provider's VPC, who has no knowledge of his service consumer's VPC CIDR range.
