Does anyone know who really manufactures the Amazon basics 8 sheet paper shredder? Even Amazon could not find the manufacturer. I have the 8 sheet and if you read the reviews "through" they all end up saying the same thing. The shredder only lasts about 2 years. The gears are teflon (plastic) and wear down so eventually it will not grip and shred. It seems so wasteful to purchase something that is only intended for two years when you could simply replace the gear or make the gear out of metal. Thanks

Something is wrong with your shredder. Either the brushes inside the motor need replacing or you're pushing the papers down it too hard
