Small update on the overpopulation issue: We have decided we will be adding a stress system to go along with the group limits, meaning if you are around too many of the same species for an extended period of time the player will start to get debuffs which will make them not want to be near too many of the other players, the growth system should also help combat this issue since if you die as an adult you will need to regrow your animal. @@amazoniansurvivalyt Would appreciate if solitary species were stressed in groups/cannot group with adults of the same species. (Juveniles of their own offspring are the exception, but they shouldn't have an army of those either, no more than normal litter size + survival rate to juvenile if the young are juvies.) There should never be 3 adult jaguars ganging up on anybody. If ppl want to play in groups it should be of species that live in groups. For mating perhaps solitary animals can tolerate a member of the same species only briefly if of the opposite sex.

As a Brazilian, I assume I'm happy about the project. Fauna recommendations from me: - crab-eating fox - ocelot - black caiman - Green anacondas - boas - Tapirs (Put the two species existing in the Amazon, for example) - Coatis - Peccaries - River dolphins - Giant anteater - Harpy eagle - King vulture - Bush dog As for the last one, I think it will be one of the ones that requires the most planning. The bush dog is by nature a sociable animal, its attributes should force players to join together. The however is that even in groups they should not have such high attributes. My personal recommendations are that they have high stamina, average attack power and running speed. Considering that they are semi-aquatic animals, balance is important. Not being exceptionally fast, it gives herbivorous animals the opportunity to rely on speed and agility to escape. And being strong in groups but nothing exceptional keeps them from being the most broken thing in the game. Although it is still likely that players will be able to form groups of 15 or more bush dogs and attack other animals, which would be virtually invincible.

The following animals are already planned for the game: Ocelot, Black Caiman, Anaconda, Tapir, Peccary, River Dolphin, Giant Anteater, Harpy Eagle, King Vulture, Bush Dog. Bush dogs actually already have a model and texture! They may be the 2nd new animal coming in game release! (Do not take my word on this, still being decided)

Sorry I'm a little late but I do think that your game looks amazing so far! I do have a suggestion that could help with overpopulation of predators though. There could be a territory system where maybe if you clawed a tree or a log or smth there could be a radius around that object that's your territory and you can mark more objects to expand it. There could be perks if you hunted in your territory which would make players want to expand their territories to hunt more efficiently which would force other predators to either challenge the existing pred for the territory or move on to find a new one. In real life dominant male big cats will allow another male to share the territory however only the dominant male gets mating rights and male and female territories do tend to overlap which could possibly be implemented. If making a territory system is too much, I completely understand, I just think that it would make the game realistic and help with pred populations. Anyways I can't wait for the game to release, and you and your teammates are doing a great job! Edit: Ok, I've done a bit more research regarding jaguar territory systems and generally other stuff and I have a few things to correct and go deeper into. So yes, a male jaguar will sometimes form a coalition with another male when prey is abundant. However, unlike tigers, both jaguars have mating rights. Rarely, female jaguars will split their territory with their daughter if prey isn't too scarce. You said earlier that there is a cooldown between the time a female jaguar can have cubs, I can imagine that if those cubs were to 'disappear' the cooldown would shorten. Female jaguars do also have an interesting strategy when a male is near where the mother jaguar will hide her cubs and then go into a pseudo-estrus state kinda like going into fake heat where she'll mate with the male and then go back to her cubs. She does this so that if the male does find the cubs, he might think that they're his and spare them. When it comes to game mechanics Jaguars mark their territory in several ways either through clawing objects which I mentioned before but also by rubbing their cheeks onto objects which contains scent glands, urination, and defecation. As this is a kid-friendly game, it would probably be best to only use cheek-rubbing and clawing to mark territory. The scent would degrade over time which would make it so that you'd have to go around and keep up the territory or allow someone else to claim it. While clawing would last much longer than cheek-rubbing, it would mark a smaller amount of territory and while cheek-rubbing would claim a larger amount, it would need to be remarked more often. Male jaguars are surprisingly less territorial than other big cats and fatalities occur very rarely due to territory disputes. Jaguars defend their territories from other jaguars by using vocalizations much more than physically attacking. I could add more info, but this is getting very long and I'm sorry for not touching on maned wolves but if I did this would turn into an essay. You can consider adding this or you don't, I'm not forcing you to, but this is what I've gathered regarding territory and mating. Yikes, I really should've separated this better into more digestible pieces but oh well.

4:11 a suggestion that I've seen with games like wolf quest (at least this is what they seem to be doing) is they have the mesh model of the furred carcass on top, but underneath they have a skeleton model. As the top model 'decays' the skeleton becomes more visable. I'm not sure if this will be able to be implemented in a roblox game, and I'm not programmer, but hopefully it gives you ideas. Either way, this looks great so far. I'll have to give it a play

Questions!) is jaguar going to be able to climb trees? I feel it would help with the flood mechanism being a thing and for surprise attacks! 2. Will there be effects like bleed? 3. Can help with overpopulation as people will be able to hunt if people aren’t a deer or so can also help for people who are not the best hunters! 5. Grab&drag I really hope you add a grab drag mechanism as this is a very important mechanism in survival games grab can be used too grab things smaller or under the weight of the other animal drag can be used for certain animals for things that are bigger! 😅😊 I hope these do get added it would make the game more enjoyable/survival like I hope they aren’t too hard to add in I’m excited for the game! For population control, you can have a set number of slots on a server per species. Once full, players cannot select XYZ species on that server until a slot opens up when a player of that species leaves the server, or gets on a different character species.

I have few suggestions, animals :- Will the game feature coyotes and jaguarundis?, If not that's okay I can understand how hard is it to make an amazing game like this. mechanics :- I think there should be some bite marks or claw marks when injured by another animal. I think there should also be minigame when grabbing/pouncing a player e.g : amazon ascension when jaguar pounce on BCs. I think jaguars ocelots and some animals should be able to DIVE to find food e.g : jaguars diving to catch spectacled caiman. Last suggestion is that the more the anacondas eat the more they increase in size e.g anaconda swallowing an agouti won't matter much when anaconda swallows a jaguar or capybara.

As long as they have sexual dimorphism in real life, it will be in game! Jaguars for example look very similar when it comes to both females and males, however males are slightly larger and more chonky!

For figuring out how to keep the ecosystem balanced between players I think that having a limit of animals would be a good idea, like only 3-4 jags per server or something. Though in early access it may be difficult for people to get to play as anything. Just a suggestion

Jaguars will be able to climb in the climbing update! There is no specific time for when this will be released, climbing will not be a thing on game release sadly! Jaguars will be able to swim much faster then other animals since they are known for being excellent swimmers! Not just that they will also be able to dive!

Will the game be on mobile? This is an absolutely amazing game from even the small showcases of the map that is shown throughout the video. Sadly, my computer has a horrendously hard time picking up on very good graphics like this and it’s not the graphics. Im really worried that even if I could try to play on my computer, it could kick me multiple times like it does for other games. I can totally understand why it wouldn’t run on mobile. I’m very curious to see if it will.

Cenozoic survival does a very good job if the overpopulation deal. The Kelle is the mane predator and you would think that there would be tons but they keep packs to a 3 person limit wile other animals like elk and wolf are up to 15 or something. The wolf all tho there can be tons of them, they are weaker wich balances everything.

All caimans will have the grab ability! They will only be able to grab prey the same size or smaller than them! Orinoco is planned as a gamepass animal!

a thing that would prevent overpopulation is adding a max of how many of (animal) can be in that server,depending on the server size,for example,if it's a 50 player server,the jaguars will have max 10 people,for deers,we might boost their numbers up to 15,and for smaller animals,like wolfs and ocelots ( IF u add ocelots)those,will have 15 players too,then anas will have a number like jaguars,or something,i dont know how much big servers will be,but yeah,probably reccomend you doing a server of atleast 70 people so that every animal i said here can have full players (hopefully)

Dwarf Caiman is planned! At the moment the only caiman model we have done is the Spectacled Caiman, so that will be our first caiman species in the game!

Dhole are not native to South America. They are native to Central, South, East and Southeast Asia.
