@maik65169 ай бұрын
This really shows the issue wirh Flick. He is not a good communicator. It is not just about motivating others, but also about directing their motivation by providing structure. Flick clearly lacked the latter. He also says „you need to do it“, implying that he gave them everything they need not accepting that he is in that together wirh the team. Seeing various clips of him it is clear that he is seeing himself as unfailable. Either they win because the players followed his guidance or they lose because they were not listening. This mindset is dangerous for any coach. His winning season with Bayern might have only been able to accomplish because the players really did not like playing under Kovac, so once they switched Flick had all the trust and could just play on his strength. But once the going gets tough, he hides behind his players.
@christiangwenner63849 ай бұрын
Thank you. It absolutely blows my mind how many people in the comments think this is a great speech. It looks even worse to me. Everything about this speech seems incredibly helpless. As if he knows he can't find a solution and is instead looking for scapegoats. True confidence speaks with a gentle voice. But here someone is shouting out of fear that he will be exposed. And the players don't buy it for a second.
@planckismus6 ай бұрын
A gentle voice? I can’t evaluate the content but I think it’s appropriate to speak with passion, this isn’t Alcoholics Anonymous or a group of sweet old ladies. They are elite athletes.
@christiangwenner63846 ай бұрын
@@planckismus If you don’t understand him, how about trusting those who can? There is zero passion in this speech. He shouts out of panic. Nothing else. And by it, destroys every last bit of confidence that had been left in the players. Flick’s motivational skills are a complete disaster. There is a four part documentary about the last WC that shows it in great detail. He‘s a great buddy type coach as long as there’s smooth sailing. But once you find yourself in the middle of a storm, he completely loses it.

Germany was in a difficult moment, and Germany is not Barca you cannot compare this especially not a country with a club, i can also say look what he did with Bayern... Nonetheless Barca is slowly getting back to the top. They are not playing bad it's just that injuries, bad decisions in the game and with line up etc are crucial... That's why i think Flick is the best option now because he has one of the best experiences of all coaches on the elite level that are now available to coach Barca. Plus his style is also more attacking which Barca lacks often. The only coach better than him at the moment that is available (free agent) to coach Barca is maybe Klopp but he is not available due to rest. So, Flick to Barca best option atm 💙❤. @@markmeloni2388

Maybe De Zerbi gets more time before critics arise because he is perceived as this young coach with a ton of potential who has been praised by Pep himself. However, if he can't come, I don't see anyone else doing it better there than Flick. I love Tuchel and I think he's been one of the best in the last decade, but arriving after losing the league with Bayern puts him in an uncomfortable position from the start. Flick has charisma, is highly regarded, has taken some youngsters to the next level, has coached one of the finest teams of this century and has the expertise with a certain style of playing that can adapt to Barcelona's. If he can develop La Masia and develop the talent there, I personally think he's perfect.

Flick obviously is a great coach. He was the co coach of germany coaching the golden generation to the world cup together with Löw. He took over a struggling Bayern and turned them into tripple winner. Sure it did not work with Germany in Qatar but to me his qualities as a coach are still obvious.

Flick's rage reminds me of Gordon Ramsay's when he gets angry because of a wrong dish you cooked in his kitchen.
