This will be of great help. Traffic coming from Ambala going towards Ropar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar will not need to enter Chandigarh Zirakpur entry on Delhi - Chandigarh Highway is a huge huge mess due to traffic.

If you coming from Ambala and wanted to go to Ludhiana or Jalandhar then NH44 will be the best and shortest route.

Yeh Expressway ko NH 205 se jod dena chahiye to connect Foothills of Himachal. It will be a shorter route to Manali and Leh. Infact agar NH 503 ko 4 Laning kar diya jaaye via Una and Amb toh it will greatly reduce travel time between Chandigarh and Pathankot + Jammu & Kashmir.

No commercial or residential project should be allowed on this road as have been allowed on the airport. However, big commercial complex at distances of 5 km may be allowed . Entrance & exit to these complexes should be provided as being laid in developed countries like the USA, Canada and even in China. Provision for Scooter, motorcycle, cycle, Emergency vehicle lane should be separate. At least two lines of trees of Indian species like Peepal, Neem, Dek , Mango, Tahli etc should be planted to have a good environment . Dividers should have at least a width of 10 ft with plantation. .
