Why would an ambassador bring his family-daughter, son, and wife-to his accreditation? This is not an opportunity to travel and see the city at the taxpayer's expense!

Ambassadors move their residence to the country of assignment for a few years. It is logical that they take their wife and children with them. The family plays an important role in fulfilling the main diplomatic task: networking.
