There's a problem in that the stereo recording is already "ambisonic" through the right gear, and sounds live in stereo. The AMBEO effects are already built-in to nature and sound itself when recorded properly. When they actually turn the AMBEO effect the instruments sound over-exaggerated and the singer's mouth like its 6' wide. It sounds very artificial, but for AMBEO specific processors or gear it may be different. I'm sure there are settings in the Sennheiser software that allow it to be adjusted. I've heard some that really do sound live when they don't get carried away with it. Edit: The ones posted on their site are actually quite good, probably because they did not overdo it to compensate for crappy headphones and YT.

Without an on axis center mic, everything in the middle is off axis. Center image can get pushed back or off axis response of mics can cause frequency problems for the center image. I can hear a center gap at times....low frequency can occupy the center tho...

@@boimesa8190 Most probably not. It is the KU100. I own this one. I also own Sennheiser MKE2002. The Ambeo smart headset was intended to be the outdoor completion to Neumann KU100. In the meantime, however, I dont think anymore that it can be. You always need a good windshield. If this one destroys the binaural atmosphere as it was said in Sound&Recording then it doesn't make sense. In this case I prefer the MKE2002.
