I agree. But her lower register is really nothing to rave about. Yeah kudos for the fact that she's been able to extend it down to a C. But allot of her notes below G3 are almost pure struggle more often then not even her G3s sometimes sound like she's hitting a D3 or something.

Kevin Macaulay Yeah. I looked at her passaggi in detail. Her passaggi are around A4 and D5, which is VERY high for a female voice. Generally sopranos have them around F4/F#4 and Bb4/B4.
@superMacaulay1

@@KajiVocals Passaggios/bridges for sopranos are in general B4 and E5
@KajiVocals
@KajiVocals 5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Macaulay E5 for head voice yes. I’m talking about full voice secondo and primo passaggi. But in the end voices are pretty individual. There are dark voices that are set higher than bright ass voices and vice versa. Demi Lovato for example has a rather light and bright voice but when I looked at her passaggi she was set lower than most light sopranos. Rance Allen is a rather dark tenor, probably a dramatic or a spinto tenor, but his voice is set like a high tenor. Not that uncommon. And what I meant by F4 and Bb4 is F4 being a primo passaggio and Bb4 being a secondo. In Miller’s passaggi system generally the head voice passaggio is called secondo (with F4 being primo, an F5 would be a secondo), but as we are describing a full voice here and not a classical soprano type singing I would call the head voice passqggio as terzo passaggio.
@superMacaulay1
@superMacaulay1 5 жыл бұрын
@@KajiVocals As I said before IN GENERAL, these classifications that you're doing makes no sense to pop singers at all. The first passaggio is where a voice gain force in mix voice, everything around will shine with a balanced sound. The second passaggio is where your voice will claim to switch to head voice or to change the mix to a headier one. These passaggios for sopranos (in general) are B4 and E5 (these are places where the natural changes happen, same as Riley and Demi). F4 and Bb4 are passaggios for Contraltos. We can hear signs of mixing at soprano's F4/F#4s and that's normal, but is not where their passaggios are in fact. Babe can we finish?! Just marry me once for all.

Voice Type: Light Light Soprano Vocal Range: C3-D6-D6 3 octaves and a note note Vocal Positives: Voice strengths come from her powerful light bright and resonant mixed belts. Soft and silky girly lower register. Soft and smooth midrange. Powerful crystal clear mixed belts that’s mixed with her chest and head voice where her voice shines. Slight raspy tone in her belts. Having extreme power and resonance for a light lyric from excellent technique. Can hold notes for long period of time without vocal fatigue. Strong vibrato and capable of melismas and perfect pitch. Rare ability to hit a C6 in mixed belt. Comfortable soprano range. Powerful and full and operatic head voice and sweet and light falsetto. Vocal Negatives: Lower register isn’t as strong as upper register and tends to over sing especially with her upper belts.

Subjective terms.
@superMacaulay1
@superMacaulay1 5 жыл бұрын
@@KajiVocals Yeah... But no. Not so subjective, for example: To do chest register you need to use a specific muscle from your larynx the TA (Thyroarytenoid), if you wants to do head voice you will activate the CT (cricothyroid). When you sing in MIX you balance somehow the usage from both. So chest, mix/belt and head ARE NOT SUBJECTIVE because they are completly different things.
@KajiVocals
@KajiVocals 5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Macaulay Both muscles are active in the majority of the voice though. The only places in the voice where they are isolated are strohbass/creak/very low chest and the highest M2 notes. Not everyone calls belts mixed notes though. I don’t for example. What I call mixed is an imitation of a belt. Basically the M2 (head) mechanism with more closure and weight, possibly more twang, seamlessly connected to the chest or belting. Basically ‘mixing’ between mechanisms, in the way that you make one sound like the other. It is a very common definition. Which is why I said it’s subjective. Also it is the original definition of the ‘mixed voice’. What you call mixed, I just call belts.
@superMacaulay1
@superMacaulay1 5 жыл бұрын
@@KajiVocals Every belt is mixed, not every mix are belts. There's a difference (belting is a technique, mix is natural thing). Of course both muscles are active in our voices, they are part of same instrument... You don't get what I said or just pretending... TA makes your vocals cords full/thick and "short" CT does the opposite so... Yes chest voice is very possible with elongated vocal cords... Hell no!! There no "Both muscles are active in the majority of the voice though" to chest or head, bacause this you're specifying is MIX VOICE.
@KajiVocals
@KajiVocals 5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Macaulay I did get what you said. By that definition though, majority of the voice is mixed voice. I prefer to describe the sound based on the technique used, which is why I call it a belt. The technique I call the mix also has a TA engagement if done correctly (to do with a higher closed quotient). And what I described is that both cricothyroid and thyroarytenoid muscles are both active in the large portion of the voice including the lower range. Read up modern studies on the voice. And what I call a mix is a technique. As I said those definitions are SUBJECTIVE. I don’t associate mix with the CT/TA activation.

weak lows. bland mids. thin highs. her mixes have no core in them they're always so thin and flat. i don't see what the vocal community sees in her i guess reaching high notes (and not sounding good while hitting them) makes you an impressive vocalist. 💀i much prefer singers who stay within their ranges but sound rich and actually colossal.
