I dont understand why the player on the left keeps showing his hand after the turn? No way id keep giving the advantage of remembering what was in my hand after the turn ends

These events are for our weekly local play, so some players do it for convivence and good sportsmanship. Most of those same players wouldn't do it during a more competitive event like a store championship and so on.
