I love this side of jensen i don't care what anyone says. He's normally a little more filtered so to see him let loose and relax is nice. Seeing and hearing him talk about the crisis hotline made me tear up. It's rare to see that kind of raw emotion come from him while on stage. He has a wonderful heart and i think anyone would be lucky to call him a friend.:)

I agree and I think the same about Misha I have seen him on stage and he s the one that started that crisis line (Jensen helped) He got emotional when he talked about a family that the little girl wanted to kill herself so the others could eat. His Gishwhes helps other families He was homeless when he was a little boy and he wants to give back, Jared said he marched to his own tune and makes the world better

This side? He's being a jerk. Misha's having to manage him so they can do the panel at all. It's not professional at all, it's disrespectful to the fans (they're screaming with discomfort as much as amusement) and it's unfair to Misha, who shouldn't have to try to control him. Misha usually doesn't even try to control Jared, much less Jensen. I go with the hypothesis that Jensen's drunk, which would explain why he does not EVER behave so deeply weirdly except this once--especially considering he's usually the force of restraint in the group panels, acting disgusted with Jared's antics and Misha's stories.

Jensen and Misha are an example that famous people are still people. They don't have to pretend, because they are real friends. Jensen gets shy, like a person. Misha is a comforting friend. They both have a personality. Most famous people you would think are just rich and famous, and have little emotions, and just get divorced. But no they have more than what meets the eye, and thats why I love the whole Spn cast and their wierdness.

they drink "apple juice" all the time, but I don't think Jensen was drunk at all. he spoke very seriously at one point, I think he was trying to get over the emotional moment that happened during the autograph session by joking. Jensen is very professional, he wouldn't get drunk while he works and he wouldn't do it knowing that this would disappoint the fans. i think it was a tough time for him and he got over it by going into dork mode ... i love him for that.

To all the ones discussing Jensen drunk or not... He was: jetlagged, hungover, far away from home, had a few drinks the nite(s) before, had a hard working day with autos and photos.... aaaaand had a mindblowing experience that afternoon before the panel. He is also a human beeing with feelings that he has now shown - maybe for the first time so freely, because of that. I don't think at all that only a few sips of whatever can make him - a man like him - change his behaviour completely. So just calm down. He also had a rollercoaster of feelings that day (like we all had on that jib-afternoon). and he was so sweet in all of this... And at some point that teasing on Misha was a little revenge for all the times Misha made him feel embarrassed on stage ;-) And pleeeease don't pigeonhole me bc of what I wrote here. Okay here's my little piece to the debate. I think we can fairly assume he was drunk here, and I don't say that because he's very happy or simply because he messes around with Misha (he's done that the other years). But the thing is, he does things that he usually never does ON STAGE (and I insist on the ON STAGE, because obviously we don't know him behind the scenes or the curtains or whatever). Everyone knows that he's very shy, and so his personality on stage has some characteristics: he is very in control of himself (all of his words and actions are calculated and thought), he sometimes teases the audience or Misha but he never goes very far... Here, there's none of that. He doesn't think about what he's saying (twice he says something like "that was awful, I'm sorry"), he keeps talking and talking when he usually is the one that doesn't talk all the time. And for the teasing part... like here, it's heavy enough to make Misha embarrassed, and we know that Misha isn't the type to be embarrassed for this kind of things. For example, the obvious underwear part, it's not much the "I'm gonna show you my underwear" that makes me say he's drunk, but the "roar" part. Sober Jensen would have not kept teasing that heavily on stage. In one word: Jensen here is liberated. Like he doesn't care about what anyone might think, he just does what he wants and f*ck everyone who doesn't go with it. When usually, he minds A LOT about what people might think of him, and how ridiculous he can be (JIBcon 5 is here to prove it for example). He has no limits. And we all know alcohol can have that kind of effect. Here's my arguments ^^

From what I've seen everyone seems to love drunk Jensen. Plus he wasn't drunk enough to NOT know what he was doing. He calmed down when he had to. I'm gonna add to the him NEVER acting this way part. From the beginning of the panel he was sexual. Yes he's participated in innuendos before. But this was hardly any filter. And when has anyone known Jensen to talk about or rather brag about his crotch? Plus he was belching. Which is what drunk people do. Let's talk about Misha, look at him the first few minutes. He was not impressed. Kept shaking his head and just stared at Jensen when he was doing Firework. Then even said that Jensen was making him uncomfortable. (Just because he said in a light hearted way. Doesn't it make it not true. Look at him) He also kept side glancing Jensen during the first question because he wouldn't be quiet. He humored Jensen every now and then. But he was basically the sober friend taking care of the drunk friend. Things somewhat got normal after they talked about Jensen's emotional moment. I didn't mean to add so much but I don't know why people are making a big deal of this. Looks like everyone had a great time. And there was no harm. And the fact that Jensen feels comfortable enough to be drunk in front of us says a lot.

I have never commented on any of these things before, but this is pissing me off. These guys bust their collective asses working on this show and traveling the world in their very limited free time to connect with and entertain fans. And they don't have to do that. The Rome conventions are known for being looser and more "adult", if you will, and the discourse around Jensen and Mishas panel is really getting on my nerves because these guys are good friends, the entire cast seem to have developed a trusting and open relationship with their fans that is almost unparalleled, and therefore they should be able to feel comfortable enough to lose their inhibitions once in awhile. We call ourselves the SPN family, yet we still hold the cast of this show up to higher standards then we do ourselves. If you want to see an uptight, filtered, repressed actor in your panels....keep shaming him for being himself and making him regret being comfortable enough with his fans to show his relaxed, silly side. Keep reading too much into it. Keep studying them like they're the insect and you're the entomologist and watch what happens. And then you can bitch about how conservative Jensen is in future panels. Jesus people....let them breathe. They are not out of control. They are intelligent human beings and they are entertainers at their core. And they are human. Let them be themselves, whoever that happens to be on that given day.....or these awesome, unfiltered, hilarious and emotional moments that they have trusted us enough to see, will be gone.

Well said. I've been reading the comments and getting more cross by the minute. I'd been thinking about deleting the whole damn thread because it's just ridiculous. I'm teetotal, I hate being round drunk people and have been known to be a little judgemental about it when I see people overindulging. This was not what I saw this weekend, and you've perfectly summed up how I feel about this whole situation. Its the usual crowd who want to disrespect Jensen. We meet him and know how hard he works and how lovely he really is. We know how much travelling they all do so we can meet them. Both Jared and Jensen have just become new Dads again yet still arrived in Australia and then, two weeks later, Rome. All of that is true and the same with Misha A lot of people disrespect him and he does so much besides the show. Hes not on as much but all of his time is taken, HE has Random Acts, Gishwhes, has been trying to rally people up politically and is at a lot of events on any of those. He is hardly at home which makes him feel bad but he is always trying to help someone whether it is a family in Syria that is homeless and have nothing to eat so the daughter tries to kill herself to give more food to the others or it is kids that are homeless after the Haiti earthquake and he is right there building the school/orphanage for them. He has built his own house and the furniture He is an inspiration to us all Not only that but his kids are the same ages as Jared and Jensens so he is a relatively new father too. His youngest is 3 and West is 5

This is my favorite panel of all! I have watched it over and over. In my opinion, this must be like what they do to Misha on set while he is trying to film his shots. The fact the Jensen is able to get emotional in front of a crowd is so admirable. It shouldn’t be; men should be allowed to be emotional. And just because he had a drink does not make him drunk. I never thought he was drunk, then I read the comments and people think he was drunk? LOL. First his being dragged through the mud for being to shy, now when after 10 years of doing cons and being on stage and knowing most of the fans have been the same throughout the years, he isn't allowed to loosen up. It is good to see this side of Jensen. We always see him happy, laughing, and smiling and never really see him show his emotions. The Supernatural family has made me feel better and happy. This family is everything and so sweet. They welcome new people. I am new and I already feel welcome. I may not know the Supernatural cast as well as other people but I am so glad that I found out about the show. This family made me laugh and smile. I don't know what I would do without this family.

This is the second time around that I have watched ALL of the panels from this particular weekend for Supernatural. Especially those of Jensen, Jared, and Misha. So, please forgive me if I sound a bit disrespectful towards anyone, but these three especially, seem so freakin genuine and real. And I don't mean that in a stupid way. I mean that in a "celebrity" sense of way. MOST celebrities do their jobs and get off the stage and you don't usually hear from them again until their names are smeared on smut news networks and tabloids, or they are announcing another concert or movie, or what have you. Jensen, Jared, and Misha, seem the most authentic and appreciative of their fans, their jobs, and the lives they have received due to it all. And they have created certain charities and such, so they can give it back. And I can tell that Jensen is about three sheets to the wind during this particular day in all of the panels he was involved in. And for him to show his true heartfelt side like he did during this particular panel, has earned major respect points. This man is genuine and authentic! He is real! And he, along with Jared, and Misha, did not allow their fame go to their egos. And I think they are the ONLY actors in any given tv show or movie that has shown such heart, feelings, and appreciation. I have so much respect for these guys! I would love to meet them in person, just so I could tell them thank you and just to tell them how fucking awesome I think they are! They define the true meaning of celebrity with morals, respect, and being the perfect role models for their fans. Purely authentic!!

Thanks for this, you pretty much sum up what I feel about these three in particular, and SPN actors in general. They seem to be a genuinely great bunch of human beings. And that is not to say I believe they are faultless and without flaws. Being human means that they inevitably will have flaws. But that doesn't mean we can't appreciate the time they give to us, their fans, or the efforts they put into leveraging fan-power for good.

Thank you for sharing your videos. I'm a writer myself. And could only dream of creating such a world like this. My appreciation for truly authentic celebrities is very few and far between because there aren't too many. And when I get the chance to show that appreciation, I do it. I don't think the producers and creators of Supernatural realize the REAL world they created. To me, it goes way beyond the surface. With the actors, the charities, the fans, the creativity of the writers, and the fact that the fictional world they created, spilled very deeply into the real world by creating life long friendships between the cast and crew... Jensen and Jared, their wives, and their children, are the perfect example. The friendships it created between fans... ex: #SPNFamily. I have read on various other videos and social media pages about fans meeting for the first time at these conventions and have been close friends ever since. - and this includes GISHWHES, created by Misha Collins. Not to mention the amount of lives the charities Jared, Jensen, and Misha created and support have saved. People fighting depression and suicidal thoughts, have been given venues and such to help them. And all of this happened by accident because, Mr. Eric Kripke told the CW Network, he had an idea for a show called, "Supernatural." Did he even know it was going to become such a huge blessing in the world?

IKR? It's pretty amazing. I'm a writer too (not professional though obviously I'd love to be published commerically!) and I suppose every writer dreams of creating something so substantial. But to have it become not only commercially successful but also MEANINGFUL to so many people, that is something special. I've got a small circle of very good friends of all ages and many nationalities who I met via SPN. I write and draw and paint because of SPN. I've never come across a fandom like this before. It's wonderful!

I honestly have no idea how anyone could have anything negative to say about this. A.) It's not like he's hammered, a little buzzed? Sure. B.) He is a grown ass man with three kids, two of them still very very young. If he isn't working he is with his family being an amazing father and husband..But kids and marriage aren't easy, we all need to blow off steam, take a break and have some fun. C.) I love this so much because not only is he just hilarious, he's so easy going and funny, but also serious about the important things. D.) He isn't being disrespectful to his fans, this is in no way any dirtier or inappropriate as other panels.I could go on,but basically people who think this is disrespectful, unprofessional or inappropriate need to just stop. He's human, yes, he's famous, he has an effect on other people's lives, yes, he is a role model.. but none of those things are a reason for him not to be able to drink without being called a drunk or alcoholic.
