In this episode of BlacktipH, Josh has invited fellow KZbinrs Chew On This, 1Rod1ReelFishing and LunkersTV to get some revenge on the giant amberjacks that defeated him earlier this year with LakeForkGuy. We started off the day netting live bait to drop on the deep wreck where the amberjacks congregated. After we caught sufficient bait we headed offshore to the amberjack wreck. Josh and Mike starting off vertical jigging. Within a few pumps, Josh was hooked up! It was a huge bonito (false albacore). Shortly after, Jon Black hooked up to a big amberjack and quickly broke off. Both Rob and Mike also hooked up and lost their fish. Josh decided to try dropping a live bait down to the wreck. Josh hooked up and landed a small amberjack. Every fish after this small amberjack managed to get away. Jon Black hooked two giant amberjacks on his spinning setup that burned drag and broke him off in the wreck.
*BEFORE YOU TALK CRITICIZE, READ THIS*
We are fishing a shipwreck in 230ft of water with a 4-6mph current. There are lots of sharks on this wreck that eat the amberjacks. Once we hook up to an amberjack, they immediately swim towards the shipwreck for safety (thus breaking our line). Giant bull sharks immediately start chasing the amberjack the moment you hook it. We have to fish very heavy drag to prevent the fish from swimming into the wreck. We have to retrieve line as fast as possible to prevent the sharks from eating the amberjack. This is a very challenging environment to land fish.

+WarfareGames1 you are so racist. They pass it bc they can just like you can and mikes name could be s family name his dad or someone related to him could be name that. So go make fun of someone else and like Leo from extreme philly fishing he is really smart like he speaks 8 different languages. And is really good at science and fishing. Leo can probably pass his driving test in one day of learning about it. Mike may be wimpy on the ocean but go watch his bass vids he catches like hogs

Another great video, Josh. I loved seeing Jon Black and Ben Chancey on board from my hometown here in SWFL. I buy bait exclusively from Jon now at Crazy Lure even though I live in Fort Myers and have been wanting to fish with Captain Ben for years now. I can't imagine trying to pull up some of these AJ'd. Love it! Keep up the great work guys! -Josh Deschaine

@luketipton2537
@luketipton2537 7 жыл бұрын
For all of you who are confused, the reason they have full drag is because it like they're fishing close to knives and as soon as the fish runs into the wreck they're fishing over, the line snaps and the fish is gone. Also, they need to reel fast and horse them because if not, the sharks will eat them before they get up to the boat. If you watch the last video, you will see that happening.

True. Only thing is a few of them weren't fishing with the right gear to put the breaks on a large amberjack. Reels didn't have the drag and rods were stout enough to get leverage and one the guy needs some milk. Lol
