Hi, I am a fairly new subscriber. I just watched this and what drew me in was the Neo Color II.... 🐦🐥🎨👩‍🎨🖍🖌🖋🗒🎶Either way a few years ago I found a red cardboard box with a set of 5 of these original Caran D'ache crayons🙋‍♀️👍💙💚💛💜. Well I tried researching but these must be old. They are labeled as chalkboard neons or something,but look the same as today's . I believe they were my Grandfathers who served in Germany and loved art. So I've only used them once because they seem rare or at least special to me. I cherish them and hope to buy some to play with sometimes. I just got water color creams and they work the same but feel like lipstick and are So soft. I so enjoyed this and loved the finished piece. I do like the non gesso side for blending and the colors appear to stay more vibatnat and blendable . Was the intention to just show the difference beacsue I would have guessed the gesso side would be smoother. What did prefer? I ramble on and on...But thanks for this. Have a safe and nice week. Hey Amber, I love these side by side comparisons! I've been looking at the neocolors for a while. Do you need to use a fixative on these where they are water soluble?
