I don’t believe her A1c either. If her name were on that lab sheet, she would be showing it to us with great pride, and thumbing her nose at us . What would be very interesting, would be to measure her fasting insulin level. It is possible for people to maintain a normal blood glucose level, and therefore a normal A1c, for quite a time while at the same time the insulin levels are rising. Insulin is the hormone that keeps our blood sugar levels in check. If her fasting insulin levels were above normal, and particularly, if they were showing a trend of increasing overtime, then, even in the presence of a normal A1c, she would be showing a very real danger of becoming diabetic. At some point, the pancreas cannot sustain the amount of insulin that is needed to keep the A1c normal and overt diabetes kicks in. I am a medical practitioner (psychiatrist) in Australia and I always get my fasting insulin levels checked at the same time as I do my A1c for the more complete picture of glucose metabolism to check that increasing insulin resistance is not occurring. I would also be very interested to know what Amberlyn’s triglyceride levels are. Given that I imagine she is ingesting enormous quantities of fructose in the form of refined carbohydrates, then I would think her triglycerides are high, a major risk factor for heart disease. Triglycerides also tend to be high in someone who is diabetic. Unless she’s a metabolic marvel, I would bet that Amberlyn is already T2D. Unfortunately, she is so disingenuous and evasive that we are not going to be given the truth.

I talk about insulin a lot, it's something really underestimated in health. And you know that Amber has chronic hyperinsulinemia for sure. I'd bet she has at the very least, slightly fasting blood sugars as well. And with how she eats, WHAT she eats, I just think she had AI or something make that paper. She's always been really weary of type 2 diabetes, because she knows how much hell she'll catch if she gets it, as it would be self-inflicted. She'd also get a much harder time for her food choices, moreso than she does now. There's just NO way she isn't pre-diabetic. And I agree, I'd love to actually see her blood work. The triglycerides, like you wanted to, they are really important. She's also had NAFLD for a while so I'd be interested in seeing her liver function scores, and I REALLY also want to see her inflammation markers (like c-peptides, crp, etc). They've learned cholesterol isn't nearly as bad as they used to think, but the TYPE and size of cholesterol is important. I want to see the size and density of her chol., even her kidney function, all that. But mainly: fasting blood sugar and insulin (though I know blood sugars can hold out for while too), A1C repeated every 3 months (since it's the 3 month timespan) throughout a year, and her triglycerides and inflammatory markers. I also don't believe she has these perfect, praise-worthy blood pressures too. She definitely has major circulatory and cardiac issues/stress.

Thanks doc for saying what I was thinking. I work in metabolic science and you will not convince me Amber’s not diabetic. She clearly has metabolic syndrome. Once she hits 40, she’s gonna be in the same boat as Foodie.

Here is something about A1c that most people do not think of - trends. I have a friend who had a A1c in the 3s until about 5 years ago and they started going up. Her doctor said she was prediabetic when she hit the upper 4s. Amber doesn't stick with doctor's so I would be willing to bet there is no historical trend to compare. My friend was over 600lbs and started OA and therapy in late 2021. She just had skin removal surgery because it was dangerous. They removed close to 50lb of skin. She now weigh 165 at 5'10", is off all her meds and is treating herself to a new car because hers is shot from carrying her. She is paying for it with the money she saved on food/gas/meds

My A1C was 5.6 in February. I weight lift 3 times a week, have maintained a 47 pound weight loss for 2 years. If her A1C is lower than mine, she has super genes.

@HecticMolments 6 ай бұрын
Congrats, that's great weight loss and maintenance! And don't worry, I don't think Amber's genes are THAT super. I think she's good at finding/creating 'proof' she wants to show us haydurs up. I wonder if she had something like a Chat AI make that document up. Usually with labs, it shows a list of all of them and the A1C would be among that list. But that was a whole write-up only on A1C (including what it is, ADA stuff, etc and that's not in a report of blood labs, at least none that I've ever seen)

I think she holds money over their heads. But, that's quickly drying up. I think she's also very mean and difficult to dealt with when the camera isn't on (we've seen such examples), and I think she lays guilt trips on her mom about her childhood as a manipulation tactic.

If her mom wants to see Amber succeed, she needs to stop playing into the “we need to go out to eat everytime we leave the house” narrative. I think restaurants always have been a hindrance for Amber. If you notice Amber can never leave home without going to get food.
@powderandpaint14
@powderandpaint14 6 ай бұрын
But then Amber might be even worse staying at home. Atleast when they go out her Mom sets a sensible example, Amber can't go too wild and she gets a little bit of activity rather than sitting at home.

I suggested that Amber practice leaving the house without stopping for food under one of her videos and someone commented that just saying that was hateful and "girl gotta eat" 😂. Seriously if I personally went out to eat as much as Amber I'd get as big of a house. Most restaurant food is way too many calories ....

@@powderandpaint14She can take Amber out of the apartment without stopping for food. I bet you Amber's mom is working on her own weight now because she gained weight herself since hanging with Amber. @HecticMolments
@HecticMolments 6 ай бұрын
I think part of why they do that is because she knows Amber can't really do too much else. I mean, Amber has trouble lumbering around a store for 15minutes. I also think Amber would pitch a fit if her mom wanted to do more active stuff. I wish Mommalynn would put her foot down and say that she will come pick her up and take her to the store if Amber agrees to go somewhere and walk for a time first. But then Amber will just Instacart stuff. And I think Amber is a handful behind the camera. I also think Mom knows that Amber is just NEVER going to really change. She gives her the semiglutide injections, but I'm sure being there she can see as well as we do that Amber isn't really losing any weight.

I was shocked. I was there for my annual wellness checkup and I had these labs I wanted checked (including A1C, some inflammatory markers, specific cholesterol measures), she denied them all, despite she was already drawing blood for other general labs! She said that there was 'no need to check an A1C unless my labs show an elevated fasting blood sugar'. (!!) I looked at her directly and said "Oh so you mean once I'm FULLY type 2 diabetic? That's what I'm trying to avoid." She blew it off, told me I was worried about the wrong things, and proceeded to lecture me about how I don't have any of the C0vid boosters (and I never will). But then, I'm technically as high as aaround 70-ish lbs overweight, which I also brought up as I'm concerned about it and want to get it down, and she said my weight was fine because it was staying in a steady range over the past few years (!). And I'm clinically obese! I was so so disappointed, then had to proceed to pay out of pocket for that A1C test that my insurance would've paid for. I'm limited on choice of doctors in my area due to insurance, but I really want to find a new one.

I just want to say I love your channel (I'm pretty new, but happy I found your content!) you're my favorite Amber content creator other than Mr. Snowflake, and I love your content for the same reasons - you both call her nonsense out and don't let her get away with her BS! I wish more Amber react channels were as honest, so keep doing your thing, I don't find you to be whiny or mean at all :) As for the art related stuff, I only watch her through reaction channels, so I don't know when she bought the Ohuhu Markers but I'm curious if she actually used them on the coloring pages. The paper looks really smooth and has a distinct lack of pilling that I'd expect to see when using alcohol markets in a coloring book, also there isn't any of the "feathering" that you get when using standard paper so I'm not sure what's up. I agree with you on the POSCA markers too, phenomenal and expensive, but also oil based not acrylic which is why they tend to have the richer pigmentation and staying power (when used on glass and ceramics) that acrylics just don't have. I doubt Amber is using them for anything other than paper though so I guess it won't matter for her. I'm really glad you mentioned the POSCA pens though, because you brought up something that has always bothered me about Amber. She embodies the worst of consumer habits: she's a compulsive buyer and lacks any consumer knowledge or discernment. She pisses away mountains of cash due to impulsive spending on low-quality items, which is absolutely MADDENING and results in wasteful accumulation not to mention environmental harm. She never considers the value of investing in lasting, meaningful products, like her jewelry, opting instead for massive amounts of mass produced disposable JUNK. Her disregard for the impact of her consumption is disgusting, it's not a reflection of being a "Quirky Gorl" it's a reflection of gluttonous, uncaring consumerism.

I would not even say the ozempic is working all that much, cause she is still forcing herself to eat. I do believe she has lost 20 lbs, but that is not that much for someone her size in 5 weeks. She is still eating a crap ton of food to only be down 20. On my 600lb life, those people drop waaaaay more than that in a month, and many of them are bedbound. Amber at least has some movement, so it should be way more than that. And, I said it in the last video and I will say it again- I cannot believe ANYONE believes she was addicted to weed. She just wants to be celebrated, and made that addiction up in my opinion. She only says that because she is absorbing her Mom's personality who is sober.
