Walmart is huge and quality items are hard to find. They tried in Berlin for some years. Little did they know about markets in Germany. They cut the salary for workers, did not grant them holidays and sick leave. Word got round and no German went shopping at Walmart in Neukölln. They went bancrupt and went back to USA. Berlin did not need a Walmart anyway. There is KaDeWe and there is Galeries Lafayette for more expensive things. There are so many streets with shops next to each other plus several malls where they all sell the same basically. In Germany if on a budget, go to Lidl and Aldi for food. Quality is winning prices. Clothes and other things are in big stores or malls. H&m, c&a, p&c, Zara, Orsay whatever you need is there. Even primark with the cheapest on-use-only- clothes ever is there now. Three or four primarks all over Berlin. Diamonds in a supermarket? No body needs diamonds to go. They got Tiffany in KaDeWe.
