Hey Andrew, just wanted to drop by to say I through some money your way for these Ambient Songs. I have been listening to them on KZbin since you started posting them, and decided that you deserved some money for all the hard work you have put in to giving us this amazing music. These songs and the Lowercase Noises stuff has been the soundtrack to my homework, and has helped immensely. Even though I am a poor college student living off almost nothing, I loved giving you some money. Respect man

this has to be one of my favorites out of your ambient song list. #16 is where it's at!

I've been listening your ambient song's, sounds extraordinary well, peacefull and inspiring. Maybe you can improvise with your setup a longer "ambient song" longer than 40 minutes, because it's no longer enough to meditate, but it's only a suggestion, wonderfull work, congratulations. I don't know if I wrote the correct words, beacause I'm from Chile.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard in my life Andy!! You've inspired me so much to play ambient music and I'm hoping to be able to reach deep into souls with my music as you do with yours. Thanks!!!

This music touches my soul too and takes me someplace that makes me sad and happy at the same time. This young man is very talented. Yes, slowing down is something we all should try...

To be more precise: I recommend you to buy a Boss RV5, this has a modulate-mode wich is similair to the sound of this artist. And to focus on the delay, I recommend a Boss DD7-delay wich has also an hold mode to loop your music(only 40 seconds of looping time).

And sometimes i want the clouds to part, and i want the light to come through, until there is nothing but light, and i want it to swallow me up and all that's dark, and when the light fades i want to find myself drifting away among the stars.

@chanc3d I think he's using the plate mode on the blue sky, it allows for the long trails which when added with the modulate on the RV-5 causes it to give it that cavern sound.
@AndyOthling13 жыл бұрын
@richardpearlmasters It's mostly the Micro POG which only has the upper octave dialed in. So everything I play is an octave up. Plus delay and reverb.

@tubescreamer i used to love playing about with sounds like this, when i had a solid state amp with built in effects, when i was about 13. i got my self a valve amp less than a year ago. but since then havent been able to afford any decent effects. i love delay, but ive had to simple do without it as the pedal alone is a quarter of what my amp cost me. love your music though, thanks for uploading this inspiring sound

Great sound man. I am just kinda start to shape my sound. I use a Mexico Fender, do you think is it a big difference to American Fender? Do you use the clean channel in your amp? Do you think EH Memory Man is way better than sound in DL4? Sorry about two many questions. Thanks in Adavance!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd love to know which pedal (or combination of pedals) is primarily responsible for the trailing cave-esque reverb effect? as always, amazingly beautiful stuff.
@melven6213 жыл бұрын
@tubescreamer Is it really that good, even with a Matchless next to it? I used to a have a blues jr (stock black tolex) that was just alright but this sounds killer. I love your tones and playing. I currently have an AC15 which I love but this would be cool, maybe even to run both in stereo. Also hows the elcapistan? It looks cool. I have a DD-5 and a DMM but I think the Strymon would be the icing on the cake.

out of curiosity How much is improvised and how much is preplanned? This style lends it self to creative play i like the idea of no performance or recording of something ever being the same...
@BrokenBlivion13 жыл бұрын
@tubescreamer yo I absolutely love your sounds and I've done some pretty good ambient songs...but I just started recording...anyway I have the RV-5 dd, the ernieball jr volume pedal, the line 6 dl-4, the boss dd-7, boss tuner, god 2 morpheus, and the fulltone fulldrive 2 non-mosfet. SOOO u use the pog pedal...how is that pedal, cause every video i look at they're always talking about dry tone comparison and sub harmonix but i thought it was a harmonix pedal for high pitch sounds what does it do?

Hey man, just one more question, do you get good sustain on Diamond Compressor? I am currently use BOSS cs3 and I really don't like what it does to the tone.
@AndyOthling13 жыл бұрын
@rokomichi funny you should say that!
@chanc3d13 жыл бұрын
what reverb type are you using on the blue sky? I have a wet reverb and I'm looking for a reverb to go along with it and I'm going between the blue sky and rv-5. Does the modulate on the blue sky compare to the rv-5 well?
@Andikay98713 жыл бұрын
@lihenow I've recently got rid of my CS-3 for the same reason. It just didn't sound right somehow and I couldn't find a setting that made much difference with it. I know compression is quite a subjective 'effect' but I find that I'm much happier with my new Rothwell Love Squeeze. I don't know how it stacks up against a Diamond compressor, but it certainly beat a lot of other high end pedals in the same price bracket. May be worth a look.

How is there a droning backing sound for the entire thing? (: Are the repeats of the delay and the space in the reverb that high?
