I wanted something to chill to but ended up crying. Man I miss my skyrim days. I just remember being on my xbox 360, in front of my tv, all the lights turned off, and getting immersed into this magical world for hours and hours until the sun rose. I was so obsessed with this game I thought about it all day and night. When I closed my eyes I could literally see skyrim. It was amazing. This was the game that introduced me to the world of gaming and it will always have a very special place in my heart.

2011 I was 19 years old in college. I will never forget the hype around this game at the local gamestop. I remember being in my dorm and it being the first time I lived away from home. This game made me feel at home, it was magical. I remember having the whole world in front of me and thinking I was going to accomplish all of my dreams. Unfortunately life didnt work out the way I wanted. Im 32 and lost my job now struggling to pick up pieces Ive lost along the way. Somehow once again this game or it's music on this playlist has got me feeling positive again. Im transported back to the best years of my life. This will be a checkpoint for me. I started playing Skyrim last year in a very stressful and difficult moment of my life. One night I was so anxious that I couldn't sleep, I was fast breathing and my heart was pumping like crazy, it was almost like a panic attack, the only thing that calmed me was turning the game on and just walking in the Falkreath forest, listening to the game theme and the light rain. When I started playing this game soon after it was released years ago, I had no idea it would end up becoming such an important memory in my life. This soundtrack isn't just gorgeous, it reminds me of what I turned to for comfort in my adolescence. If you think Skyrim is beautiful (which it is), come and visit Alik'r, Clockwork City, Auridon, Wrothgar ... the list is so long, and I have found so many breathtaking views while wandering all across Tamriel. There is something about Skyrim's soundtrack, particularly the exploring tracks, that immediately lowers my stress levels. Putting this these tracks on a loop is almost guaranteed to help me sleep when my insomnia kicks in. At work, with this playing quietly in the background, I find I can focus better. Plus, of course, the good memories of exploring Skyrim while hearing these tracks in the background. Thank you for this respite in a crazy world.

There was a time where the world was like this. Without the Dragons and walking dead of course. But what a time to travel, adventure, live off the land and raise a family. If there is an afterlife, I hope mine is Skyrim. I am experiencing Skyrim for the fist time right now. I have no less than 50 miscellaneous quests to do and so many main line quests. It's endless. But I hope to finish it before Skyrim 6 comes out. Let the countdown begin. 2-3 years? That's but a blink of an eye to an Elf. I can wait.
