I went through a big episode of derealization after I broke up with my ex about a year ago. I could barely eat, i had to force myself to drink, and I slept most of the day. I really love winter and don't mind the cold. I like taking walks nowadays at night after having a peculiar experience. I had a night out with a couple friends and the phone turned itself off because of the cold(?). I didn't where I was supposed to go because I was taking the night bus and was following a GPS on my phone over a bridge of a highway. I literally had to guess where the bus would arrive and was a little stressed because the place was literally empty, but when I noticed how the snow was visibly falling aesthetically under the streetlights really calmed me down. I somehow got home hours later but that experience really mesmerized within me, and I doubt I will never forget it.

You know the worst part of Christmas? It's the image of Christmas that's sold by the media, as being this magical wonderful time of the year where it's been snowing nonstop since Thanksgiving and everyone is happy and your family is all together. This image...or at the very least the snow part is what I look forward to the most, but almost every single winter I've experienced, especially since like 2014, has just been a sorta extended fall, with some days that almost feel like late summer.
