I was a surly 17 year old teenager when they were first on telly. I certainly wasn't about to laugh at there 'stupid nonsense', I was too cool for that. Wait for it....BUT! After 2 minutes I was laughing like a drain! They were so funny but also extremely silly. From that day I've been a fan. Saw them on tv recently being interviewed. Then heard them on 5-live. It seems wherever they go they bring fun, giggles, laughter thru tears of joy. Wonderful lads!

Vicky Ellis my mum took me took me everywhere to see them too, remember once we saw them at the north pier theatre Blackpool and waited at the stage door to get autographs, we were almost last in the queue , when finished they walked with us, and a few others, bobby with his arm round my shoulder, down the pier, I must’ve been about 12, but was still taller than him lol and it was good to walk that Bobby Ball walk 😆xxx

Devon Blue I met bobby ball in the late 80s he was cracking every body up in Rochdale court he was making people in court brilliant lads he had a club in Rochdale called braces I'm not a drinker iv never been it to drinking. But I had a good laugh with bobby ball IL never forget day in Rochdale court are they still going in hope so. I loved Bobby Ball. He was so funny and such a character he stood out from the crowd. He was so easy to impersonate he made us laugh just by copying him . Also when close up you can see he has warm funny eyes . God bless him .

Awww, I'm still upset about Bobby. He was a lovely chap. I can see the love of performing in his eyes. He enjoyed making people laugh. you probarbly dont realize it was a totally diffrent era back then. I remember in the 1980,s cannon and ball were HUGE in england but when you think about it england only had 3 t.v. channels so their shows on itv really captured the british peoples attention. Cannon and ball whould always play blackpool and do a summer season where they whould play at a pier theatre for 3 months solid and they whould constantly pack them out. These days peoples tastes are more sophisticated you should maybe watch a film called "the boys in blue" that was quite funny and filmed at the height of their popularity.

There is some really skilled audience handling going on here. That point where they have that mock argument and Cannon yells at the audience to shut up . You can really feel the tension build as the audience becomes unsure about whether this is actually the act or not. Fascinating dynamics.
