We in Germany do have the intensive rescue vehicle, but not as an 18-tonne truck. The only thing that we have in such a version are the Stroke Operation Mobile (STEMO for short). They're used for strokes. Your special feature: You carry a computed tomograph (CT) on board. In this way, if a stroke is suspected, the doctor can already take a picture of the brain on site and initiate therapy.

This truck is brand new in sweden. We also have buses, but this truck is bigger and can take more advanced patients that require more machines.

I'm Australia 🇦🇺 Our intensive care ambulances are not that big. Royal Flying Doctor Service uses Swiss made Pilatus 24 jets for intensive care aircraft.

Excellent video - thanks for sharing and look forward to more. I do not think that destination underground ambulance arrival was built with 18 tonne mobile ICU trucks in mind! Very tight corners, good driving

In that garage we have a dedicated space with a barrier we can open with remote control. It was built with our vehicles in mind.

Seems the absolute maximum possible seize of an emergency vehicle is reached with this. Infrastructure doesn't give more space any more. From now on, if you think over more load, it must be constructed by leaving something...

Is the person driving always the same or do they rotate, and is he/she a EMS/Paramedic?

We have a rotating schedule. The basic staff is an ambulance paramedic with a bus driver's license and a specialist nurse. Sometimes the competence can be higher with a maximum of two specialist nurses both with a bus driver's license. Almost exclusively, staff from the hospital are also accompanied during the transport, and they can sometimes be up to four or five people. Region Stockholm's two 24/7 MICU units are staffed by around 50 people, approximately half of whom are part-time.

Does the truck still have the 90km/h speed limiter as is normally mandatory on EU trucks or do you get an exemption?

Är spärren för 90km/h borta med ? vi hade en f.d. brandbil som Tma, den gjorde mätaren ut. en bit över 12km/h dvs ser inte att filen på essingen är kryssad , gav man upp det projektet?

12 km/h låter som en moderat hastighet! 😉 Vi har ingen hastighetsspärr annat än vårat omdöme. Kryssade körfält sker enbart vid trafikolyckor eller andra hinder.

@@resandemask nja 120km/h :) mätaren gick inte högre än så. Okej, jtrodde ni kunde nyttja det med , men man kanske inte placerar en transport på essingen 16.00 en fredag eller 07:00 en måndag :)

Min uppfattning är att aktuellt trafikläge generellt har en mindre del i planeringen av lugna transporter, och mer patientens behov. Dessa jobb är prio 1 och dom har ingen annan planering än direkt.

@@ville5528 en sådan mojäng används sannolikt inte så ofta. Dessutom tror jag regionen inte varit så glada om de åker runt och filmar skarpa larm. Å andra sidan tror jag både regionen och polisen haft synpunkter på om det filmade materialet är ren "nöjeskörning"
